The people at Cymax are the true wealth of the company. People are genuinely excited to come in to work (even virtually), everyone is very approachable and positive. They put a big emphasis on developing and maintain a strong culture, celebrating diversity within the organization. We use Microsoft teams to keep in contact with each other through out the day, which is awesome compared to workplaces where snappy emails are the primary means of communication between departments (*This was the case at my previous workplace)

Welcoming & supportive work environment

Have been working for over a month; everyone inside the company I've interacted so far has been super approachable and knowledgeable. So much going on every day, and so much to learn.The thing I liked the best about working here is that I get to learn about stuff that's beyond my role. But I've learned that the company is trying to "departmenalize" different aspects of the business; I really hope that won't discourage people from learning about other aspects of the business. After all, if everyone in the company has a deep understanding of the different aspects of the business, we act as one.

Collaborative workspace where you can learn just about everything in Ecom space

Pros:-Very collaborative environment- Leadership is empathetic and values good employees- You can learn a lot here about Ecom space- Little things like appreciation notes from your boss, nice christmas gifts - just a few things that make you feel valued.

Fast-paced large company with near-perfect organization

Lots of tools for data analysis that are used. Infrastructure is extremely organized and set up properly. Everyone cares deeply about their work and there is a great overall diverse culture to the teams. The work appears to be fast-paced, but very properly managed across all roles. Everyone responds within minutes to any questions posed and leaders take a lot of responsibility.

Collaborative workplace with opportunities to grow

With the new management things are improving and changing rapidly but that also means adapting to changing requirements while still doing the regular work so can be overwhelming at times.

Fast paced environment, lots of growth opportunity and a fantastic team

Cymax is a great place to work. The management team genuinely cares, they listen and make changes based on feedback. The company culture is very autonomous, so people are given a lot of freedom as long as work is getting done (flex hours year round, 4 day work weeks in the summer etc.) Since e-commerce is such a rapidly changing industry, internal roles and responsibilities evolve and change quickly to keep up, making it a really fast-paced, dynamic environment. The team is fantastic and the company does a good job of promoting diversity and fun while still getting things done.

Productive and fun workspace

Very nice working environment. There is a lot of room to grow as the business is expanding rapidly. Extra efforts will be recognized. There are fun social activities outside of work.

Great place to work

Cymax is an excellent company because amazing people are working there. In my experience, Executives and Directors are approachable, and they care about their employees. The work environment is collaborative and positive.

- high level of empowerment and autonomy: people are trusted to do they work they were hired to do. Great team, lots of exciting stuff going on in the company

Cymax is growing really fast, so it's a really exciting time to join the company. I joined during the pandemic, so it was a bit of an adjustment to WFH and onboard from home, but I think they've really gotten the hang of onboarding virtually. Love my coworkers, and am enjoying the work I'm doing. Because of the growth, everyone is kept super busy, which depending on whether or not you like a fast pace can be a pro or a con, for me, it's a pro.

Amazing environment and lots of growth

No one day is the same which makes this company so exciting to be with. Upper management has an open-door policy and is always happy to hear feedback (good or bad). They pay on par with other companies and has health care benefits as well. Unlike most corporates where you are just a number, the CEO is very personable and cares about the people.

So much change!

The company has changed so much over the last few years - it's cool to see. Old management didn't care about people but theres a new ceo and he actually likes people and pays attention. Fast paced place with lots going on. won't like it if you want to punch in and out. but lots of people with promotions so that s cool to see too.

Leadership and Policies are Subpar

I was promoted quickly and originally felt it was a great job. That changed when I watched great employees not shown leadership. They weren't able to grow and only reprimanded for tiny things. The company also has issues it can't avoid under the dropship model. Things are constantly backordered and the customer service policy to the waiting customers is dismissive. The owners are heavily involved which I would usually admire however they lack some of the important skills to bolster morale. They fired one of their only HR ladies without cause, who was greatly limited to how she could support employees due to owners leading through fear.. Points for not asking anyone to work overtime, and for creating their own tech interface.

Too disjointed and unfocused

Some great people but the overall culture was lacking and focus was too disjointed and switched depending on managements feeling that day. Overall not a great experience

Nice place!

I actually learned a lot from this job, I have never had any experience call centre so that was great to have it Specially in a furniture store! I would definitely recommend this company for those who have never ever had worked in a call centre definitely

Poor company

You cannot even get promoted unless you’re close to the supervisor or manager. At the time most of their employees are from Ireland. Pay was bad the way they rub the company is very very poor. Lots of unhappy employees and customers.

fun work place

BBQs every Friday with beer provided. With massage chairs and games tables in the break room. Busy and fast paced work environment. Easy to move up in the company.

You think this is a startup, ITS NOT. It will look like a startup from the outside with the free coffee and free beer on fridays (recent addition), the management is extremely conservative, bare minimum knowledge of business and some of the people are extremely hard to work with.
