In order to be successful working here, you need to take it upon yourself to provide yourself the tools. Advancement is entirely up to you. The benefits are good. My only complaint is that although you are told to speak with managers when you need something, anyone in management is absent most of the time.

-Horrible Management at the Mississauga ON Canada Office in the Auto PD Department. -Team Leaders lack any knowledge of insurance and claims -Supervisor lacks experience in leadership. -Work Overload -No raises given unless you obtain licenses or CIPS. Year end, most you will get for a raise is generally around $100-$500 yearly. -Starting Adjusters will start off at 36-38K yearly. -Experience adjusters will make around 42-46K yearly. -No queue/call centre environment -Will meet some great co workers.
Management/No Experience/Low Pay/No raises
I experimented the worst period of my career working there. Great politics about how the front line should be. Top ethical. The management don't apply anything near ethical. I witness good people being lay off with no raisons. VP Québec requesting the other adjusters to gather all negative things about the employee about to be lay off. They debated many labor dispute and always cash out to avoid being exposed. Thanks to this kind of site truth can talk. You want to scrap a few years of career? Crawford Canada is the best place to be!
it is like working in a circus but with a suit.
This was a temporary position and I feel I wasn't employed long enough to give a proper review. It was a stressful environment and the resources to carry out my responsibilities were limited. The agents' workload was overly extensive and it was difficult to keep up with their needs and they were not readily available to review work with.
A place where I am treated like an adult, I am not micro managed, I am encouraged. The benefits are great, very flexible work schedule, state of the art technology, very pro active management, this company gets things done and at high speed. Everything is at your finger tips, set up to succeed. There is no formal training so if you aren't a self starter and need a lot of guidance and to be lead by the nose then this is not the right place for you. If you like being given responsibility, very slick streamlined no double handling work then this is a great environment. Probably the only place in 20 years that I have felt like a valued individual instead of a number or cog in a wheel. This is a dynamic, innovative company that isn't stuck in the past. Other companies should be watching for this one because while the fat cats sit back and provide 2+ week turn around times companies like this are swooping in and servicing in hours rather than weeks...
