i enjoyed my time there. co workers were great and very easy to get along with. interacting with guests is fun. not my ideal location. needs renovating.

It is was the best to work with Marriott international hotels. They look after their employees very much. Your promotion depends on your work productivity. This company has many benifits like, employees discount, internal transfer to any other property.

Courtyard by Marriott is a great brand with great employees and management. Good work culture and supportive coworkers, and the guests are wonderful. I really have nothing negative to say.

Typical day consists of checking guests in and out, answering phone calls, and really just waiting for guests to check in. Best job for a college student. Managers are respectful of schedules, and they try their best to respect requested days off. I do most of my school work at work, so thats really the best part of this job.

I felt valued by management. Pay, benefits, guests, coworkers were all great. I have absolutely no complaints. The starbucks coffee was a little daily perk. it was a really good job.

It is a good place to learn and grow, you can face vary challenge same problems to all the small size hotel and Franchises, one person plays a lot of roles but with poor wage. According to the management group's skills and style, staff's feeling can be very different. Making sure you know it is a Franchise or branch by Marriott. Because the management group totally different on the business performance and employee management. Usually, they are organizational management, so with the problem of franchise like high turnover rate, misunderstanding and less repect between managers and teammembers, no plan for incoming events and group, less training for new hire staff, lack of team leader, etc. But employees have empowerment to make decisions and participate in discussion at anytime, few levels of management between mannagement and staff level employees.

Management is a mess and set an environment where it’s okay for employees to act like high schoolers. Unnecessary drama and tension. Favoritism is a thing here and picking on those who aren’t favorites is also a thing.

ThxCultureN/AOverallFor short time I worked there, it was fine. Courtyard was clean & everyone made sure to keep it that way everywhere! All dept were good to work with. Helpful when needed. This was probably the weirdest place I have ever worked at. So first off let me start with the interview. When I had my interview I was told I would be a full time employee so I accepted the job offer and started training. The training was very extensive and lasted for about a month. The people here just gossip all day about each other and some of the employees think they are supervisors or the manager. The manager doesn’t really talk to you she gets her employees to talk to you. I then “thought” I was done with training because in my opinion what else did I have to learn it was mostly common sense. I then was put on the schedule for fours days with two days still working with someone else who was very annoying and critiqued everything I did and the other girl that was also training agreed with this lol. I then quit because this job was just weird you don’t really get a answer about anything the manager doesn’t talk to you so you have to hear things from other employees this place was just confusing the only thing about it was it was a Marriott and the discounts are really good. I do think this would be a good company to work for with the right management or a different property. Also I quit and the manager put I was “terminated” idk weird place like I said.

There is always something going on at the Courtyard by Marriott in Downtown Fredericksburg. Its community is thriving and right in the middle of it all is the Courtyard. In all my previous work experience I have never had more pride in my job than here. Leaving here was honestly a mistake... I had to what I needed to support living on my own. But if I could take it back, I would and make it work anyway because I remember always being even a little excited for work. Management knows what they're doing and how to successfully operate a hotel operation. I miss my guests too. Personality quirks are here and there, but if you don't think that's a part of jobs anywhere you're wrong. If you like people and enjoy a challenge while looking good, the Courtyard by Marriott is for you.

The owners and management is amazing here! I’m sad to of left. Due to personnel issues and sickness I unfortunately had to leave a job I loved but it’s an amazing company the owner is amazing on site the hr listens to any questions or concerns you may have one of the best hotels and hotel chains I’ve worked for!

I worked here from Jan. 2018 up until March 2020 and came back at the end of Aug. 2020. Before it was a great fun place to work, but after covid hit I got laid off and they brought me back as a front desk agent . In that time management had left and now theres no one here . Were packed out on the weekends with no clean rooms because theres no manger to stay on housekeeping. Now all i do is get yelled at by guests for nothing i can control.

I was getting paid 11.00 an hour, for most young people with no real responsibilities like me at the time of my employment here it was good pay, good hours I loved all my co-workers and the only thing I didn't like working here most days is standing all day in flats other than that it was great.

Courtyard was a great place to work during football and baseball season. When guests are constantly in and out of the hotel, you get the chance to meet new people and put your customer service skills to use. Staff is all friendly with each other and direct management really cares about its employees.

My Managers & Co-Workers!I enjoyed working at the Courtyard Marriott & was sad to leave.Due to my husbands job transfer to Florida, I had to reluctantly leave& move to Florida. My managers & co-workers (from this job & previous jobs) will tell you that I was an honest, reliable & hardworking individual!I put 110% of my energy & passion into the work that I do!

My managers put emphasis on the hotel staff working as a team and family. This created a fun and hardworking environment. Very friendly and caring co-workers.

Management and employees we're all friendly. Laid back environment. Due to the nature of this job, expect to be working weekends and holidays. however, requesting off is not a big deal if you submit the request in advance.
