Productive and good place to work. Sometimes it would get a bit working under pressure but pressure could make you or break you but I could seen to work under pressure.

Underpaid, poor quality food, managment could care less about employees. Customers are very nice. Employers brand was incompetent. HR rules lacking consistency
Good company to work for, many ways to move up the ladder. I like it! Gives good service and clean environment. Emphasis on making customers happy/safe and comfortable.
I like it working in hotels is one of my favorite thing's to do nice people and you get to learn a lot not just about the company but different people that work there and guess.
This Courtyard was owned and ran by Columbia Sussex Corp. Out of Kentucky. The owner purchased casinos and lost dearly ! They went through and fired everyone from top down. If you were making any money, you lost you job. This Courtyard has new owners since my employment.

I worked extremely long hours at marriott but i was able to bring an entire department into the green after being in the red for so long. I learned a lot about myself in the time that i was there.
I was hired in as laundry but lied to and forced me into housekeeping. The laundry is bait for a person to apply but they really have like 4 housekeepers everybody is gone. Pay is only 9 a hr not enough for what's expected

There are so many things I could state about this company but the MAIN thing is management is not at the level it should be. There is no compassion or empathy and even if you reach out to corporate, nothing is really done and it just makes the manager mad even more. The spirits of myself as well as my co workers is non existent and management either doesn't notice or they just don't care. It's a draining place to work for. At least the one where I work at. It's sad because I use to love this job but ever since new management entered the building, I dread it

Great place and people they supply lunch and flexible hours and the head houskeeper is awsome. They work with you on your hours. If possible i would go back.
at the time I work there in banquets the staff for banquet setup was just myself and one other guy witch he later quit leaving me by myself to do all the setup for meeting and other functions for over a yr. before I moved to something different
It was a great place to work at first. then when the management company started to go bankrupt, none of us knew nothing, we had bills that were not paid and it was starting to mess with our guest. Which in the hotel your guest is what makes you money. it went downhill from there, and has not went back up
Learned a lot working there. It showed me the passion that had been hiding all along> Just didn't know what drive was until then. Advanced in my positions rather quickly and took control of my futere
If you apply to this establishment, under the General Hotel Management company, you are in for a stressful, emotional roller coaster. Have worked for two years there and I was not told I do not have a job anymore nor did they give me my 80+ hours of vacation time I accrued. They have an extreme high amount of turn over and unhappiness amongst the staff in every department. The housekeeping dept is a joke. The HK manager is a heaven sent angel but the company hires the most awful non-English speaking employees. If you are in need of a job, I think and consider elsewhere, anywhere else first.....

if you are a peoples person you would love this company,honest ,hard working co-workers,,,flexible,,motivational,and all around very good environment to work in.
My typical day at work is preparing the housekeeping board, moving rooms around when i have a call-off. trying to mediate between two staff members who are having a conflict. respond to guest complaints.
1.) Marriott Team Building Excellent BUT if you make even one mistake Management WILL fire you. 2.) You work grave yard shift all by yourself 99% of the time with no team support. Even security guy who is supposed to help you out is RARELY around. 3.) You will be checking in Drug Addicts, Hoes, Drunks and other Vicious Business Gold/Platinum Business Travelers. They can make your night sometimes impossible to get anything done. Identity SCAMS happen and no training is given to you about this area of management. You will lose your job even if you didn't do anything to deserve such a circumstance. 4.) The body naturally does NOT do well during 3rd shift. You will be tired even if you prepared for it prior for your shift. You will make mistakes because the body is not prone to staying up 3rd shift every day for weeks on end. It can handle 2 weeks at a time without flaws. But I suggest you ask for 3 days off to recuperate. Most likely won't be granted due to higher management not being flexible.
