It is a decent place to work! You will be dealing with lots of personalities from guests. Multiple complaints about something because they can't really afford to stay.
Lovely hotel would work there again have fun working with all the people that came in to stay the night plus learning new and better ways to take care of the building

I enjoyed working here. Management made an effort to make employees feel seen and heard. The hours are decent, I mostly worked 3pm-11pm. Sometimes working with customers can be draining.

I liked working with some of my co workers there and night audit is really chill for the most part. The only downside is that you're by yourself and if something happened that you weren't trained for you're left on your own to figure it out. Thankfully I managed it!
I would clean rooms bathrooms and other things as need. They would give me more Hours if I ask in advance. The staff is very friendly easy to work with .
I was still in the learning phase when the pandemic happened. Everyone treated me very politely and with great care. Overall I was happy to be there,even the customer were a pleasure to be around.

My boss always gave days off when requested which was convenient. Felt like high school every now and then. I came to work to work though so I generally wasn’t bothered by the “cliques” and draMa. Met some cool people in the kitchen. It was a decent job.
Your coworkers quickly become some of your closest friends and the best part is the free food. The problem is finding the time to eat between cleaning, filling guest request, placing orders and various other task.

Before the pandemic hit, I worked full-time in the housekeeping dept and laundry. I fully enjoy my job and everyone I work with. My boss and supervisors are fun to be around and very approachable in any situation. I really liked going to work and am planning on working there hopefully for years to come. Due to the virus, however, my hours have been greatly reduced but we can always hope things will pick up again soon.

I loved my job and would have never left had this pandemic had happened. Due to not having enough hours and money I had to move. Overall my job was very filling in a lot of was. From front desk, housekeeping, bistro and night auditor I loved working with people. I would tell anyone to join the team. The people you meet and the team you work with us like family.
Courtyard by Marriott is a great brand with great employees and management. Good work culture and supportive coworkers, and the guests are wonderful. I really have nothing negative to say.
I got hired with the promise that I would be working the morning shift, from approximately 6:30 AM to 2:30 or 3 PM. Sometimes I might need to be called in half an hour early, which was agreeable. However, after training was completed, I was often flip-flopping between working the morning shift and the evening shift, meaning some days I would get home close to midnight, and be expected to come into work around 6 AM the following day. In addition to being a front desk receptionist, I also had to take on the responsibility of being a shuttle driver for our contracted pilots and flight attendants who stayed with us. This was one of my favorite parts of the job, but again, with the lack of sleep, it was sometimes concerning to myself being made to drive when I was functioning off only a few hours of sleep. I also noted my concerns of not being able to care for my family to the General Manager, who completely ignored my worries and asked me to provide documentation to prove that I was caring for the family that lives with me. It was at that point I decided to leave, as it became clear that I wasn't going to be given the respect as a person with a life outside work.

I was working several positions at a few different locations is the Med center. The pay and business was great. I stayed busy,. However, COVID-19 killed the business. I'd love to go back when things pick up again. Side Note: The discounts on rooms for Employees and loved ones are great!
Typical day consists of checking guests in and out, answering phone calls, and really just waiting for guests to check in. Best job for a college student. Managers are respectful of schedules, and they try their best to respect requested days off. I do most of my school work at work, so thats really the best part of this job.

I was a good company they are strict about their brand polices so stick to them. They are managed by different management companies so each hotel experience is different.
It’s a good company wherein I learn a lot from the time I start to work and in just a few months I became a supervisor. I learn a lot from this hotel. How to deal with guest and your co-worker. I learned also how to conduct inventories and placing orders. My experience as hotel worker taught me to be calm and compose whenever you’re under pressure and always represents our hotel professionally to win more customers.
