Problems are not dealt with but rather pushed aside by management, there is also no structure what so ever. Instead of problem employees being dealt with they would rather everyone just get along

Great place to work. The people at Cooper are easy to work with and management is always willing to help. The job can be stressful at times but that’s the construction industry as a whole and Cooper does a great job at providing reliefs. All the branches have their specialty and work together to keep the customer happy.

Overall Cooper Equipment, is a good company. There is room for growth with their ambitious growth plans. I feel there approach is right, building the business around the people and the culture. This is what sets them a part from the competition. As like any other aggressively growing business, there is always a couple bumps in the road.

Cooper Equipment is a well managed company that is growing and has a good work team. There is a lot to learn ans I have found a very nice environment.

Branch manager is by the numbers only. Has no empathy for outside circumstances that may affect day to day work environment. Sometimes a person isn't able to leave the home life at home, and it affects the work life.

I enjoyed it ar first, but once new management came in. They started treating their long time employees like garbage. No one could feel safe or secure, and with good reason. A fellow co-worker got fired after working for them for a long time.

Dont trust what this place tells you. Safety is at the bottom of their list. Brought up multiple safety issues and was always given some lame reason why it wasn't an issue. Even after someone gets hurt. The branch gives no support to the drivers. If you work for them just a heads up. Watch your back you might find a knife in it

excellent place to work!!! management are understanding helpful tentetive to your needs. and we are always learning something new!!! And the equipment we rent and the trucks we drive are very well maintained!!!!

The work was never appreciated, The owners were in Ontario and never showed a interest in the hourly employees advancement was never going to happen. It was all about money, Management always raised the bar

Management is horrible. Employees run the shop and are horrible workers. Once they dont like you they will go the extra mile to make sure you know. Need to watch what you say and who you trust. Lots of hours little time for a life. Money is alright but not worth the hours work or non sense you have to put up with. Best advice STAY AWAY. Worst place I have ever work at or been employed by.

your swamped because there isn't enough employees and there really isn't much incentive to stay no extras under paid compared to the rest of rental companys good people

well what to say about this company mentality is still like what it was 5 yrs ago one shop operation specially in GTA if you want to survive do one thing and one thing only don't work they don't value your work just call the regional manager and complain and lie about your co worker or manager and that is it. the one at fault gets praised and other person gets fired that simple.
look at the managers they have ,even their age wont fit them to be at that level most of them with no experience. so if you are a veteran with lots of experience they feel threaten by you. be careful lots of accidents and unsafe equipment and no training.

jobs advancement is only for their own crew and family members and who they gulf on weekend.

such a shame see a company in this level be like this.

managers getting fired left right and center more people leaving than joining. it is a good place for quick stop and leave as soon as you find more stable position.

they play this game that we are one Family and so on which is on big BS.

The company preaches that they have the employees best interests in mind and make you feel that way right up to the day where you walk in and are let go. You will learn a lot fast if you're up for it just make sure you're always on your toes.

Company has been great. Have had difficulties in my life and Cooper helped me out of that . Been honest and open to helping me every time they can. I have been here a year now and it's the best job I've had. Good people all across management and an owner who actually gets to know us all. Thx cooper

having worked in the construction equipment rental industry for many years (and for a couple large companies), cooper sets itself apart. The company strives to be employer of choice and creates a welcome atmosphere for all staff to contribute. The staff all work together to make the experience a very positive one for our clients, with focus on creating a partnership with them, rather then just treating them as customers. Unlike the major competitors, moral is high in Calgary, and not completely driven by too many managers all of which demand approvals for every little decision. Trust is given to all staff in order to excel! Decisions are made very fast in order to grow the business. Staff are trusted and are not at all micro managed (which was my experience working at competitor)

There is a mandatory "Cooper Difference" brainwashing seminar for new employees. They upgrade work titles, not salaries. They buy you 1 lunch every long weekend and boots instead of giving you a good salary. Everyone insults everyone behind their back (no exceptions). Management does nothing to solve any problems. All employees have 0 personality and every minute
spent there is dreadful.

Company is good, they do stuff for the staff but they are all about the money.
Management needs a reality check and has to learn how to treat people and what know what a managers job is as it is to address issues and yes it is like being a babysitter/daycare.

Because of the lack of management it is Toxic. Some stuff would leave if they could find another job tomorrow.

If you are looking for a fast pace fun job, great People and amazing culture than Cooper equipment rentals is the place for you. Management isn't always making the right decisions, but every company has a few of those. Don't let that bother u, I highly suggest Cooper equipment rentals to anyone. Great pay with excellent benefits package and profit sharing.
You will have an amazing career with them.
