The management is so great and knowing events/shifts so far in advanced makes it very easy to plan around. shifts aren't very long and work is straightforward. can get busy and overwhelming during concerts but not a problem if you like fast paced. nothing but good things to say about my time at the FirstOntario Centre (not overly thrilled with how the renovations have been handled but not the end of the world)

horrible company to work for

Compass is a pathetic company with absolutely no morals and mankind. Their Human resources department is as good as useless. The HR knows nothing about HR- they don't even have a curtsey to acknowledge an employee's email and respond to them. This company cannot do a simple thing which is to provide a thorough training to their new hires. They do have any training plans/ procedures. They thrive on favoritism and very ugly workplace politics. The units which I managed were amazing and had a lot of potential for improvement and I was well on my way to bring in those improvements despite the fact that I was not provided with a thorough training to being with. I spent all my time to train myself on the job by reaching out to the client's personnel at the unit level. Once I gained the desired knowledge at work and started applying it into projects, I noticed that there was no recognition provided at all from my supervisor. Surprisingly, the professionals from the clients team appreciated me time and again and that boosted my morale to keep going even though I did not receive the same recognition from my immediate manager. The immediate manage also withheld a lot of important information time and again but even that did not deter me from moving in one direction of progress. overall the culture at Compass that I saw was absolutely toxic, full of nasty politics, favoritism and backstabbing. The clientele being catered was a great experience to work with.

Employees that are older can be gossipy. Management has the potential to be unorganized, but in general very caring and want you to do a good job. Unoforms are provided regularly and schedules are posted consistently. Training can be tough because the pay is less but over time commitment pays off. Thank you for this opportunity.

The management team is useless when defending employees, don’t take Covid seriously. If you have a issue with nursing staff they don’t care and won’t take the initiative to look into it, instead they brush it under the rug. Don’t like to get confronted about ongoing issues. If your a good employee they’ll push other employees work on yours.

if you wanna work for a low rate of pay.and over worked! this the job for you! and no one is supervising.and supervising on your own. its the number 1 worst company in the world!! the cheapest.dont care if your bathrooms etc in hospitals are clean.dont sit down on any toilet and expect it to be clean and sanitized!

I think all the employees at the compass group should be paid more we do do a lot for what we get paid for but the people we work with are great and all the upper level management are great as well

Compass and all it's companies. care about money. beginning middle and end. They do not care how you do it, but get your job and some of your co-workers jobs done at the same time, with a limited schedule to accomplish it. and lord save you if you miss a deadline, or any mistake. it's a 1 strike and your done. and to make things worse. no support during these trying times. no extra safety measures were extended to essential workers who were not in health care.( we had to provide our own masks, even though it was policy to wear one)

I had the misfortune of working for Compass Group and just want to let others know that they treat their workers horribly, are disrespectful, pay barely over minimum wage and overall don't care about you. You are a number, they don't care how hard you work, how much you give, or how much you care. They will dispose of you like garbage as soon as they realize you can't be manipulated or intimidated. They prefer people who are lazy as long as they don't question management.

no comment I do not have anything nice to say about the way the company was run. the job itself was fun and i enjoyed working there but the down fall was poor managment and lack of empthany and the head chef would yell at you and call you names.

Abusive managers (verbally), also liked punishing you with less hours. Treats you like a robot. Service time was more important than anything. Toxic workplace. Coworkers were also unhappy, most quit and left. Restaurant manager was finally transferred after many complaints against her and lawyers were involved.

I loved this Job, I was able to interact with clients in the suits, Always great guests. I always made sure my guest were very happy, and had everything they ordered on our menu, Food was always hot for them when they arrived to the suits. The fridge was always stocked, I've worked all the bulldog games, and concerts, it was never a boring night at Copps Coliseum.. They had new management take over, and things slowed down there, so they had told me I would be on call. But unfortionally I haven't recieved a call back. This was a great job, I always loved going into work. It was always evenings and weekends. I also became pregnant with my second child, and couldn't go back eventually. Great Job..
