I work in the DL Centre of CNA and the work is interesting and the people are fabulous. My supervisor is by far the best I've had in my 35 years of work life. So happy I found the job ad when I did.
Close to my home
Great place to work. Friendly environment with great supervisors and management. Work load can be heavy depending on what Department you work in. I would recommend the college too anyone. I had a great 35 years there.
DL position is flexible and interesting. Great staff to work with and love teaching students and passing on my knowledge. Great place to work and learn.

the best of the best teachers very friendly and taking the course at the college of the north Atlantic was awesome and it was differently a once in a lifetime experience.
long hours but it was worth it
I was an instructor there for 6 years, it was very stressful lacking in supports for mental illness. I’m saying so it as been since 2011 was my last year. That was case and everyone is different. As for a learning center for students it up there with all colleges in Canada.
A friendly atmosphere where new employees are given opportunities to flourish.A regular day meant contacting local businesses to schedule them for the college's promotional events, creating an orientation package for new students and working with the student development officer to recruit new students.
Current position: A typical day at work involves every day clerical duties. Most of the work is very repetitive. I have learned how to use company software, improved skills in Microsoft office programs, and have experience with working as a team. The most enjoyable part of the job is working with the wonderful people in the office.
Difficult to advance in the company
Work at College of the North Atlantic is uncertain and not secure for most. Contracts are often offered for only short periods of time. It does pay well and have fairly good benefits. Management are excellent and care for the employees.
A typical work day starts at 8am and ends at 3pm. there is an unpaid lunch of one hour so instructors are paid only 6 hours each day for a total 30 hour work week.
excellent work environment.
doing a great job required a lot of extra unpaid hours of work.
