management no clue

The company absolutely does not value a good worker with years of experience. They assume and expect you to be a trainer without compensation for your experience. They will not adjust your schedule even with a months notice of you moving to a new location. There are zero perks or compliments for doing a job well done from the superiors even though store management asks for you specifically. You are just a number to the company. I do not recommend anyone to work as a Merchandiser for Coke.

Points positifs

free t-shirts ... haha

Points négatifs

My experience was challenging but rewarding in the end as I learnt a lot.

What is the best part of working at the company?Continuous learning and the opportunity to work with cross functional teams to solve problems. What is the most stressful part about working at the company?Long hours, change in culture was also a challenge due to Union influence on shop floor What is the work environment and culture like at the company? The culture was infuenced by the Union making it tough for changes to be effected and the work environment was tough. What is a typical day like for you at the company?A lot of fire fighting was used to resolve issue on sthop floor and this made each day stressful.

Salary is reasonable

Not too bad, training is not well supported, salary is okay No benefits like healthcare or dental care. People are nice but they need to emphasize more on training

Was fired for nothing

One day, they just stopped giving me stores to go to (they usually do so in the morning before your shift). No explanation apart from one small complaint I received from a store. If you work this job, expect to be tracked and watched every minute you’re there. I made one mistake and instead of informing me I was terminated like professionals would, they simply stopped scheduling me. It’s good money if you can stomach it, but the job rarely feels secure.

Points positifs

Decent pay

Points négatifs

Lack of security, management is intense

Not a fun work, wouldn't recommend it

The work place used to be fun at the beginning. The worst part about this job is when they compare the small town sales to the city ones and don't really care how much volume you're driving in by beating last year sales but all that mattered was how many displays can you put in. I have never worked for such a company before who would care for anything else other than increasing numbers. Moreover, their policies are just ridiculous good luck making customers happy. You're expected to work at least 10 hours a day and the car allowance barely comes to a break even of what you pay for your car. Pepsico does a much better job in all these aspects i have mentioned.

Points positifs

Medical benefits

Points négatifs

Long hours, poor car allowance, sales volume growth doesn't matter

Got to work, do your job, go home.

Pretty relaxed working conditions, until they need something in a rush. At times it feels like management has no idea what it really takes for the employees to be successful. Taking pride in your work is kind of a crapshoot. At times they'll encourage it and other times they just want a job done 'NOW'.

Points positifs

Unionized, annual wage increases, paid vacation, set hours.

Decent

It's a good place to get started but they eventually replace higher wage staff with lower wage staff to hit budgetary needs. I would not recommend them overall but it's not terrible.

More work, no OT , work extra hrs without pay

Really horrible job. Worked extra hours but no Overtime and paying for extra hours. Sale is more and double than other competitors but poor budget for merchandiser and sales executives. They want 8-9 skids per day with 4 stores. Really hard work.

Physical, terrible work life balance, low pay, disposable

The job is good for a young hustler but that’s about it. Your disposable under payed forced to use your own car. And little to no room for advancement. Very physically draining and unrewarding work. Forced rrp is a huge downer too

PepsiCo is much better...

Pepsi offers weekly pay, slightly higher pay, consistent routes and days off. Coca cola can schedule you different days off or even split days off every single week. And every shift you could be given a different route. So you'll never have consistent in where you're going. It is nice to be out there by yourself working. Work at your own speed but you don't want to be out all day. Eventually you will feel tired and just want to be done with it. $20/hr to start isn't terrible, but for the amount of work you'll end up doing. The wear and tear on your body and your personal vehicle, it should definitely be more. No benefits until you're a full timer. As long as you work well, you can get promoted by the time your 3 month probation endsSome days you don't even know when you'll be starting. All dependent on when store receives delivery. Can start as early as 7, some may not start until 10:30am.No significant difference in pay between pt and ft. This is definitely not the kind of job you want to do long term. Too taxing on your body. Nice summer stint for students though.

Points positifs

Youre on your own

Points négatifs

Days off change weekly, pay could be better

Good place to work

I work on a very collaborative team and enjoy my colleagues. The company and my manager gives me autonomy and I have a lot of freedom to manage my own work and priorities while working to develop myself.
