The 'manager' needs to be more than just a schedule maker. The staff should be supported and kept informed, not just berated after handling all difficult situations with no heads-up or guidance. All calls and questions were to be handled by sales staff and the manager would only accept responsibility grudgingly and as a last resort. This was very disheartening for hardworking committed sales staff. A shame based culture is impossible to thrive in!
All management needs to take leadership courses and constantly update their leadership/management qualifications (videos or courses or something!). They also need to take some other courses that include diversity in the workplace, and respect
Wage rate it shouldn’t be a minimum wage because during the campaign weeks they ask the sales persons to bake like a baker.
Take some time off for some self reflection... Value your employees as they are the ones on the floor, interacting with customers and making you your money.
Provide more hours of work
The management sometimes had a lack of communication skills or nothing good to say about others and would always critique those who don't need to be. I suggest talking with the staff members one on one to better understand each other so there wont be any conflict.
