As the largest operating company in the integrated TransLink enterprise, Coast Mountain Bus Company (CMBC) operates a fleet of clean-fuel conventional and community shuttle buses, zero-emission trolley buses, and passenger ferry SeaBuses in Metro Vancouver, the largest single transit service area in Canada.

Within the Bus Division, CMBC also administers
 – plus... Contracted Transit Services comprised of accessible transit HandyDART service, West Vancouver Blue Bus and contract community shuttle operations in Langley, New Westminster, Tsawwassen First Nations, Lions Bay, and Bowen Island.

With a strong vision to build a better place to live based on transportation excellence, CMBC connects the region and enhances its liveability by delivering close to 100 million service kms yearly on 153 conventional bus routes and 70 community shuttle routes in an 1,800 square km service area encompassing 20 of the municipalities and cities in the Metro Vancouver region. This includes nearly 49,000 annual SeaBus passenger ferry trips across the Burrard Inlet, connecting North Vancouver with Downtown Vancouver.

At CMBC, we're committed to providing an innovative, healthy, and engaging workforce. This is reflected in our workforce of over 5,000 employees, who are committed and empowered to plan, schedule, design, and deliver close to 5 million hours of regular transit service each year, attracting nearly 1.1 million passengers daily and connecting people, businesses, and communities in the Metro Vancouver region.

CMBC is made up of four divisions:

• President's Office: includes Corporate Safety, Environmental and Emergency Management, and Access Transit Services.

• Operations: plans and delivers day-to-day bus transit service out on the road. Includes service delivery, transit security, transit communications, service design and scheduling, and contracted transit services.

• Maintenance: maintains and upkeeps the vehicle fleet, facilities and transit infrastructure, including trolley overhead, fire prevention, inventory management and bus stop signage, as well as managing SeaBus operations.

• Corporate Services and Finance: Provides key support services including customer information, occupational health, operator training, labour relations and internal communications. Provides business support for financial planning, accounting services, performance reporting, and farebox collections.
