You are just a number in cleanharbors Edmonton. Ray Chahed
You don't even know if you're working the next day until they send out the manpower list at 5pm. And if you are working it could be at a completely different site and on a different shift. They can't even organize rides from the parking lot to the trailer so you wind up hitchhiking across the refinery half the time. Everyone I met there was super friendly and easy to get along with, but no one had a clue wtf was going on most of the time. The benefits stink as well so if you're looking for a long term job then don't even bother.
Everyone is friendly enough
Disorganized, bad benefits, mediocre pay, no communication, no respect for your days off.
Summed up in one word “ petty” try it and see, ask questions and have a target painted on ur back ,clean harbors middle management sanctioned by upper management will punish you with allMeans available , even if you fly under the radar stick to yourself do your job and go home , something small and petty you don’t know about will get a target painted on your back.
Degrading and humiliating punishment for asking questions
zero communication you didn't know what you were doing until the moment it was supposed to happen you half the time you didn't know you were even leaving to work till the day your supposed to leave you didn't know how long you were being gone for you didn't know where you were going all their equipment was broken nothing that I was trained on was and working order and everything that I came across in the field was broken or breaking
There were 13 hour days which was nice
No communication, Loa barely enough for one meal, seem to not care about employees
these guys would hire any moron off the street, management sucks, dispatch is a joke, and some of the foreman's don't have a clue of what's going on most of the time, its all favoritism here. If u like to bend over and be on your knees then this is the place for you, other than that don't even waste your time with this company
Lot's of backstabbing, snitching and too much animosity

The interview process was a mess. I applied for one role, then the interview changed to another positions, and then the offer was for a third position, all in the scope of a week. The management need to focus on projects and not constantly introduce new ones every time small issues arise. Make the rules, then play to exceptions, not the other way around. You will constantly feel watched and get the sense that your job is on the line for every action. This will lead to more mistakes and no innovation. Apply at Mcdonalds before working here.
Shark tank culture with all employees looking over their shoulder. They will chew you up and trash you when they are done. Screwed over most employees upon leaving.
Working for them was good enjoy it very much but never home all ways away for 3 weeks and two weeks off it was up north and sometimes cold most of the time the food was good and the people you worked with were ok and they came from all over Alberta and B.C met lots of people that's for sure
Providing the best customer service, in person and via telephone and emails. Working on collaborative solutions and always looking for a Win-Win-Win outcome. I have learned that it's best to customize your customer service needs for the best results. Management wants to be successful and willing to help The culture is changing for the "better" The hardest part of the job, not having the answers and having to wait it out until all approvals and variables are considered. The most enjoyable - working with an amazing team, one that supports, cares and willing to do what ever it takes.
Stronger Talent coming in, Better Training and Technology is growing
Health And Dental plans need to be better
I was hired there as a second cook and I have experience cooking actual food. When someone is hired as a second cook with this company they are either making sandwiches for 11 hours straight or cutting fruit and vegetables for 11 hours straight. You obviously get your brakes the only good thing about this company is that you were paid every week. The management Sucks and there is absolutely no confidentiality it’s one big gossip circle and no support
Clean Harbors does not have any loyalty to their employees, and most upper management are bullies. Opportunities for advancement depend on if you are family or friends. Pay is okay but do not expect to ever get a raise. Benefits are okay. Culture is toxic.
I really enjoyed working at the Clean Harbors office on the west end of Edmonton. I cannot confidently say that all of the locations are as good as this one. It also depends on the department or branch you work for.
Co workers, pay
Field people are a little testy from time to time

Day 1 - my position was changed to a whole new department and position that was NOT mentioned in the interview! My entire team was in the states and was very difficult to.work with. Unorganized, low pay, poor management and a horrible stuffy culture. Highly suggest to look the other way!!! Upper management gets paid a fortune meanwhile everyone else is compensated poorly. Can't begun yo explain how awful this experience was.
Will take a normal person , brain wash him to a level where he drives the company pick up truck to the liquor store to buy booze and won’t back up because he doesn’t have a spotter and then he will preach himself in next morning safety meeting, how Safe he was. I strongly make a suggestion to the Management to hand in to the workers, along with PPE, some dippers with Manufacturer specifications.
No contract and you can quit at anytime, anywhere
Back stubbing, lying, nepotism, and bunch of useless
