Not willing to compromise with a hybrid/remote approach although majority of employees would prefer this

The job is above minimum wage, there are no annual raises. They nit pick little things. Management is not consistent in the treatment of all employers. Good company to start off and branch into a career with another company once you receive the experience. Management does not appreciate the hard work of back to back calls, after call work. Need to ask for permission to make an outbound call or do emails when customers request certain reports. Always having system issues with their softwares. QA is a pain unnecessary pressure wants you to follow a call flow from beginning to end. Watch out for your contract although you are on probation for 90 days after that you can be terminated without reason at management discretion. Overall not a job you can be in long term.

Terrible

Supervisors don’t care about you at all. They say they will help and do nothing. The only good thing about this job is you get lots of overtime. Nobody cares if you’re overworked or have the proper things you need to work.Don’t bother applying unless you’re desperate for money

Very toxic company to work for

Please don't apply at clean harbors. Both management and superiors are rude and disrespectful. They don't care if they overwork their employees until their bodies get over exhausted. All they will do is laugh at you. Management and supervior's are horrible when it comes to listening. I told them 10 times I needed help with doing outline courses. But still choose to ignore me. Then I told them 10 I quit and wasn't fired. Management needs to be replaced. As the ones working as management now are rude and inconsiderate.

Has It's Pros and Cons

Good place to work but not perfect. Pros:- Home daily- Straight days, mon-fri- Great benefits (life, dental, vision)- 401k Match Program- Hourly Pay with OT after 9 hours in a work day for local work. OT after ur 10th hour for non-local work (time and a half). They also pay double time on ur 12th hour to ur 14th in a day and double time at ur 60th hour/week.- All drivers make over 100k/year, even the ones who work as little as they can. Some drivers make as high as 140k- Stat holidays off- Safety is taken seriously. If the road conditions are poor due to winter weather, you are not forced to drive in it.- Management treats you well and does not pressure or rush you to do your job. Take 8 or 14 hours on a job, long as you do it safely, they don't get on ur case.- VERY flexible start times. Unless the customer you are assigned to that day has a specific arrival time, you can start your day pretty much anytime you want.- If you do have a layover (which is not common), you are put in a hotel. You never have to sleep in the trucks (can if you want though). You are also paid extra for meal allowance if you do lay over.Cons:- Euipment is old and breakdowns are common.- Level gauges on most tankers don't work, leaving you to guesstimate your load with hopes of not over filling/puking your tanker.- Poor sick time policy. You only get 40 hours paid sick time/year. Due to covid and self isolation policies, you can chew through that 40 hours fast.- You only know what your job is going to be for the next day, but no further in advance. This results in being hard to make -

Lots of different equipment but no training for you

Avoid this company unless you want to be just a number and used and abused. They say they have a training program but in 3 plus years I have not seen it. No respect for the workers by the company at all.

Points positifs

Lots of different equipment

Points négatifs

No training program

No consideration for home work balance

My experience is that there is poor communication. Dispatch needs work. Last minute dispatching with poor communications. When you’re on days off they call and try to get you to come back early.

Points positifs

Diversity on the job

Points négatifs

Poor safety culture at the field level

Camp life.

If your a commuter and can do a life of camp, go for it. But be sure and no , after 10 years of camp , and gone 3-6 weeks a rotation to make a living , you will be divorced. Management is cruel. The job comes first. You make a mistake and it's 3 days min suspension , sitting in camp ( not paid) wondering if you have a job. Lots of equipment sitting around, as they got no work. Union company , so good luck with that starting out. Lots of rules, they even have rules , about rules. Figure that out. Pay is good , camp food and isolation. Being an experience operator willSave you. Getting by management and safety, is hit or mis. Make your money while it's hot and save for the slow times. Seasonal workers do best.

Points positifs

Camp, wages

Points négatifs

No life, stressful, seasonal

Don’t waste your time!!!!

Bosses say mechanics are a dime a dozen, and you are treated as such. They have their favourite guy’s and only listen to what they have to say. If you talk a big game and like to pat yourself on the back, and brag yourself up, you’ll be fine. NO RAISES, unless you like to spend your time doing courses online, on your own time not payed by the way. They pay on theoretical work, not on the practical. As mentioned, if you talk a big game and remember from a book or computer, you will get a raise, not what you show you can do and the way you perform on the job. It’s a joke! Lot of back stabbing. Multiple people are on the same job, so when are the unit comes back with screw ups, and they do 9 times out of 10, all who worked on that unit, even if that particular job was not done by you, all are bundled together, and in trouble. Hence some of the back stabbing. Very, very rarely are you given your own unit to work on yourself. Turn over rate is exceptionally high.

Points positifs

Payed weekly, weekends off

Points négatifs

Payed weakly, (very weakly), management sucks, don’t care for employees unless you make them look good

Don't work at clean harbors, Don't Work here - DON'T

Management runs around listening to gossip, no proper training, no access to information, lies, terrible place - don't work here. You don't know your work schedule a day in advance let alone a week. Can't plan your life

Points positifs

no real pros. Company does care about safety

Points négatifs

no work schedule in advance, too many people over your shoulder, critizing with no training.

Poorly managed

Looks good on paper, not so much once you’re hired. Little to no training from management, you get shuffled around to learn from other employees. In one department there were almost more managers than employees. The work environment was very competitive, only concern was to meet targets. These target goals were pushed hard by management. If they are met, the managers get a bonus. The employees do as well, they just do all the hard work. While training, the employees were clearly annoyed with having to train a new person. Questions/inquiries were met with annoyance, rather than helpfulness. Management creates a competitive environment, were people are concerned only with getting their bonuses.

Points positifs

Decent starting salary

Points négatifs

toxic work environment, too many people in “management”, poor training, unrealistic goals, high stress. Numbers are their top priority, expected to work overtime almost every work fay
