I was hired in 2008 as parttime seasonal, and was kept on after the season. We were a small team and became very close, everyday at work was enjoyable. My favorite part was merchandising the store, as I could put my creative skills to work and set up displays. In 2009 I was promoted to Assistant Manager, and was given more of a hands on approach to budgets and schedules. It was easy for me to give authority to the others as we all worked together for several years. I decided to move to Halifax and transfered to the Dartmouth location, and was promoted to Manager just a few short weeks of arriving there. I trained and hired staff, conducted and achieved a successful Christmas season and inventory. Keeping my head office happy was probably the hardest thing I had to do in my management position as this location wasn't as busy as the others, they always needed answers to why, and at the end of it, I honestly had none, So I stepped down and went back to Assistant Manager then decided Halifax wasnt the place for me and wanted to move back home. I agreed to work parttime whenever they needed me as a Keyholder in the Moncton location.
