Bus Operator (Employé actuel) – Ottawa, ON – 16 mai 2019
It used to be a fantastic place to work, however, the management has all changed. Old managers were forced to retire or transferred out to make room for new management. This has changed the environment and moral greatly. They have continued to hire unqualified drivers and blame them even though it is a lack of training and support. I feel bad for new recruits. As a senior driver, the work shifts have worsened since I started. No time for family. No longer encourages and supports career advancement. Benefits are superb. Salary is superb.
Wading Pool Attendant/ Supervisor (Employé actuel) – Ottawa, ON – 8 octobre 2019
A typical day required mandatory cleanliness of the park and the inside of the pool. I learned relationships and boundaries; understanding and accommodating to the needs of the patrons and of my job requirements as well as myself. The job teaches you a lot about people and yourself and is a good experience for teens who need a first time job. The security of the job is also a good thing because it takes the stress away from having to find a new job every year. The people you work with as well, help you build relationships and partnerships through and with people in the City of Ottawa.

working at OC Transpo is a great place to work. You meet so many people on a daily basis if you are interested in working in a customer service style environment. Working environment is great. you get to choose your schedule to work around your personal / social life.
