ARCHIVES ASSISTANT (VOLUNTEER/INTERN) (Ancien employé) – Ottawa, ON – 25 avril 2019
At the City of Ottawa Archives, I learned how to catalogue records into a database. In terms of management, the employees were all treated fairly. Everyone was nice to each other! The hardest part of the job was when my computer would freeze. The most enjoyable part of the job was the great balance I had with working, socializing, and taking a walk.
Wading Pool Attendant/ Supervisor (Employé actuel) – Ottawa, ON – 8 octobre 2019
A typical day required mandatory cleanliness of the park and the inside of the pool. I learned relationships and boundaries; understanding and accommodating to the needs of the patrons and of my job requirements as well as myself. The job teaches you a lot about people and yourself and is a good experience for teens who need a first time job. The security of the job is also a good thing because it takes the stress away from having to find a new job every year. The people you work with as well, help you build relationships and partnerships through and with people in the City of Ottawa.
