I enjoyed the work/life balance. Working from home is encouraged. I enjoyed travelling. The hardest part of my job was to deal with the workplace culture and middle managers. For many people at the Cirque it has been the only place they've worked at. Many managers have worked their way up from being a technician working on tour for many years and while they have a very strong touring experience, the lack of experience in management was painful. There's no hope of career advancement because manager keep promoting their friends from tour.
Company wanted to change their processes in a fast paced but old staff don't want to change versus new staff that created some clashes. Not sure about the diversity of the product during a recession product.
