The production manager treats the employees badly, he has to beg him to ask for vacations, they do not pay sick days, there are preferences with some employees

Can honestly say the Service Managers are some of the worst people I’ve worked with, condescending liars who like to play the blame game and never take responsibility for their actions. If you want to be overworked and underpaid while constantly being under the gun of ridiculous demands and no real assistance then this is the place for you. Otherwise you’d probably be happier working at McDonald’s.

Physically and mentally demanding given the pay structure, extremely poor Service Management, inexperienced staff, rushed training, basically all they care about is the stockholders and not anyone in the company or their customers.

Nice to work where one interacts with companies of such diverse nature. One minute you're climbing around a refinery and the next you're servicing a small restaurant or office.
No evenings and no weekend work is great. And the benefits kick in after only one month.

The training salary is in place for the first 3 months and is very good.

Most of the managers are very good, but just like any company, there are a few, very few, who are not.

Must self start and be able to work alone.

A company vehicle is provided, and well taken care of.

The amount of favoristm that is played within the company is incomparable to any other place I've ever worked at. Managers (especially production managers) don't appreciate people who work hard but give all the time of day to those who cause nothing but problems within the workplace. Managers like to force you or guilt you into doing tasks way out of your reach. They don't take injuries, illnesses, safety seriously. They talk to you in a very condescending way constantly belittling you. Some of the worse managers I have ever dealt with. A few surprise lunches here and there doesn't make up for what people put up with. In regards to office managers/workers, production worker can barely get a smile from them making us feel below their work status.

If I could give management 0 stars I would. Pathetic "company" that only cares about it's office workers and treats the 'real workers' the production team like refugees. I would describe the vibe in this warehouse as gloomy, just a bunch of dejected souls. Office workers come to work with fake smiles. But they think buying us pizza every now and then will make us happy. The loading job is not worth the money and the unloading job is even worse(filthy work). There's rare appreciation for the hard work we did. If you plan on moving forward in life, do not apply for this job. No raises, you'll get paid the same measly wages forever. You can't even report things to HR with confidence. Supervisors only care about there own jobs and are scared to defend us workers to management. Loaders get blamed for everything that goes wrong with the drivers. The drivers at this company run the show, just remember that. Overall it's a sad place to be at.

job is easy to do great customers.
managment is not favourable and very unorganized.

the culture is nonexistent and it they are all about themselves.

my favorite part of the job was being my own boss and taking care of my customers on my own accord. but the lack of leadership in the comany impeeds me from providing the service my cutsomers expect and i am not willing to sacrifce my values for the benefit of the company.

A typical day at work would consist of arriving to work and finding out if there are any changes to your route, checking to make sure you have waiting emails or messages from management or clients. Resolve those or figure out how your going to resolve those on top of your work load in the day. Check your route over to make sure you have all your delivery's and bulk items, and if you don't load them up or find out where they are and make plans to deliver them later. Start your delivers for the day and find out what customers need while your on site. Organize the lockers and bulk item areas to make them look neat and tidy. Carry in cloths by hand or with buggy and arrange them by locker number. Collect all soiled garments at each location and check for repairs needing to be done. Take those to the van and hand bomb them in. Speak with the clients and employees trying to up sell products we have available. After the day is done with go back and organize your dirties for the night shift and unload required garments into the the specials carts. Once you have cleaned up your truck organized your paper work and called your customers back. Check to make sure there is no special deliveries to take with you on your way home.

Great people to work with but you are mainly on your own all day except for the customers you visit. There is a HUGE learning curve and you are expected to learn quickly and be on your own after a few weeks. You are expected to increase your sales through selling customers things they don't actually need in their first aid kits. You are also expected to learn the other products the company offers in terms of safety like gloves, respiratory equipment, glasses etc. This as well on your own. The pay is very low for what they expect. They also track your every move as to where and what you are doing. You drive around in a set territory in a van that as well you are expected to keep up inventories in order to make sales. In order to increase sales you need to bring on new customers, sell items customers don't need, sell safety products, - which you have to learn about yourself. You are warrant to the elements as you work outside part of the time getting product from the van. The customers rely on you to know the OHS guidelines which you have to research and figure out for yourself what is expected. You mainly learn from the other reps who all have their own way of doing things. No consistency and no procedures in place to ensure you are following the OHS guidelines. You do set your own hours so if you start the day early you can finish early (around 3-3:30 pm) but you have to keep up with emails, dropping off catalogues to new customers, extra sales in order to make better money. It wasnt bad working for this job. Salary was good and management was not bad. The company was in their growth face when I started working with them so it was still developing while I was there. So they were introducing lots of new things and policies.

I worked for G&K for 3 years as an RSR then was promoted to Route Specialist. This job is very hard on the body and mind. Recently i informed my manager that i am suffering from chronic wrist and back pain. The following Monday i was fired without explanation. Turns out they let me go in fear that i would file a WCB claim. I'm currently in the process of applying for ei and dealing with the labour board for wrongful dismissal.

Would only recommend working here short term to save up cash. Long term employment will result in permanent damage to your body as well as stress/ depression.

This company is a pipe dream promising piece of work.
they hire people with promises of promotion, and make you work hours like 1-930 pm, basically trapping you in the job and position at hand.

the management is power hungry, and unorganized, and the work is slave drive worthy. do not work here if you have other options, because you will not enjoy it. The employees at this company are even advising new hires not to take the job.


Any good review here is by upper management and people in the company no where near the bottom.

Cintas overall is a great company. However Edmonton specifically had trouble on the service end of the business. As a salesperson my job was to sell to new customers. Unfortunately the service I sold was to much for the service team to handle. On a very consistent basis my customers would not receive their products and services. The service truck would show up with no clean uniforms, or entrance mats etc. Sales and service management was very disconnected making it so improvements were unlikely to ever happen. My status is still great with Cintas today.
