Great place to work with amazing co-workers! Work can be demanding at times but people around you make it a fun environment! Salary can also be competitive depending on the role.

Opportunity to grow, great people and supportive managers.

I worked here years ago and still have fond memories, I learned a lot and the support from my manager set me on a great developmental path. I became more professional here. A great first job.

Excellent place to start

As a teller it gets very busy at work. A lot of learning. If you have a good manager any workplace is best. A lot of politics in terms of moving people to different role. The 12 month rule is only applicable to some people.

Good overall

Good place to work. You gain lots of knowledge. Management is helpful. I enjoyed working there. Would go back in a heartbeat. If you want to be in an office I would make sure that you develop your sales skills first.

Productive and fun

Great place to work. A lot of nice benefits and perks. Depends on the branch, the work culture may vary. However hours may be long and not very flexible.

Ok place

Working here was ok; benefits are good. Training provided was good. Make sure you regualrly make sales (in terms of products "sold" to clients). Also, ensure you're meeting your handle time. In my experience, even if your client experience is top-notch (getting promoters all the time) and your call handle time is a bit high; management doesn't really care... you may end up on a PIP. Be strategic about who in management you "buddy up" with if you want to move up from the call centre. Else, you'll be stuck.

Call Centre Culture is Bad

In general cibc would be a good place to work but specifically the call centre roles are micromanaged, chained to your desk, etc. Wouldn’t recommend this role.

Productive and fun workplace

CIBC was a good workplace to begin your entrance into the financial world, it is very diverse and welcoming - you are trained well and work together as a team.

Great benefits

Honestly management are micromanaging every chance they get and banking industry loves making new hires feel stupid. Managers let the power get to their head

Workplace was not good and did not provide opportunities for qualified individuals. Was all pre determined and unfair. 18 years and no recognition nor cared why I left.

Good Place to work

Work at Jane & Finch. The job is hard due to the area. Managers and colleagues are nice and supportive. The job is not hard itself but sometimes you have to deal with difficult clients.

Good for starters

Monotonous work. Good for getting into the Canadian Job Market. Good support leaders from whom one can learn a lot about the banking industry however the job gets tedious.

Good opportunity, stressful at times.

This is a good place to start a career in the banking and customer service industry, but the work can be stressful at times with non-stop client facing interactions and tight quotas to meet.

alot of demand, work, and expectation with little pay

It is definitely an option if you're desperate for work and need to have your head above water (healthcare benefits to take care of yourself), but get ready to feel underpayed and over worked all the time

Good career start in call centre environemtn

This is a good opportunity if you would like to jump start a career in customer service or if you have some experience under your belt already. Pay is fair, but work can be very stressfull and demanding.
