zero parking for ccc reps, either your car gets towed of pay 15/day. If your late your scrutinized. Targets were your life line either you achieve them or you loose your job. Pressured us to sell constantly even if it didnt suit the customers needs. My previous manager has zero experience in the banking industry and didn't know any procedures or how vacation hours worked. Micro managed department. Your time is everything if you are 2 mins late back from lunch you are penalized. everything is watched. how you talk how long and what you say in what tone. Mentally you are stressed at the end of your shift you want to go home and be alone.

Too much work for little pay.

No chance for advancement. Very little pay. No help when it comes to management. Forced to use obsolete equipment. Shift work. Untrained employees and management.

Worked for CIBC since 2003 in the Contact Centre. I saw a lot of changes. All systems were updated digitally. First team to bring in On-Line Banking. Lots of Training and encouragement.Very good Management and colleagues, very helpful though under a lot of pressure as it was 24/7 environment. In-house trainiing was the best.
Anyone looking for a job should apply at CIBC's Toronto Contact centre. Excellent training, experience and incentives.
I miss it.

Inituially enjoyed working with a great manager who was professional,encouraging and wonderful to work with !! Typical day greeted fellow workers -set up apps to do jobs -learned so much about professionalism ,adapting to different situations and customer needs . Intially was expected to put in time after work to complete files -do call backs -later when changed to express queue was no longer required !!

Coming back from an illness - good luck -like me they try to get you to quit !!

Call after call ,back and forth in french and english within a matter of minutes at times !! Took between 90 to 120 calls per day ,quantity of calls more important than quality !! Breaks go to quickly ,not much time to socialize !!

Very little chance of advancement if you are not french, italian or in the in crowd !!
