CIBC and CIBC Woodgundy is a fast paced, sometimes stressful financial institution in which customer satisfaction and financial growth are always top priority, both for clients and for the business.
Daily transactions are made in accounts, whether it be personal transfers, withdrawals/deposits, international transfers, bill payments, or stock and mutual fund sales/purchases.
Welcoming the client into the branch and helping them to feel valued and respected is of utmost importance, as it builds a high degree of trust and satisfaction for the client.
The management in both the retail branch and the investment branch is very friendly, personable, and approachable, producing a comfortable work environment. Likewise, my co-workers were very friendly, happy to assist each other with any work challenges or concerns, lending to a successful team environment.
The most challenging part of the job is helping allay client stress or concerns when they do not see the desirable financial growth, especially in the stock market. But that aside, it is very fulfilling to know that you have contributed to a positive experience for the client, whether it be in the atmosphere at the branch or assisting the client to meet any known or newly discovered financial needs.
