A typical day at work started with opening my wicket and helping regular and new customers with all of their banking transactions and any new inquiries they may have. My co-workers were very supportive and encouraging, however I experienced some unique challenges with regards to management during my time with CIBC specifically related to a re-organization that occurred during my training. The hardest part of the job was when my customer service talents were put to the task when dealing with particularly disgruntled customers. The most enjoyable part of the job was the day-to-day interactions with customers and getting to know different people.
Love helping customers with their day to day banking and questions they may have.

CIBC expects very little from their employees to the detriment of the clients. There is a lack of discussion about the clients bigger picture including planning so they can understand what retirement will look like. Lack of accountability and action taken to help everyone at the branch level hurts the momentum of the bank.

I am responsible for ensuring customers have an exceptional experience dealing with CIBC by engaging with clients and demonstrating the fact that their business is highly valued. I assist clients with day to day transactions, and extend their relationship with CIBC by identifying gaps in their financial needs.

I worked with a great group of people and kept a few as friends even after leaving. We had an amazing clientele which kept the job very stimulating and interesting. If my job hadn't been restructured out of the branch I would have been there a lot longer than I was.
hours accommodated my life at that time which made home life much more pleasant.
My position was reduced from 7 part-timers to 2 with no other comparable positions available.
