Low Pay/Heavy Load
They really need to get their act together when it comes to pay/benefits. They have huge expectations on all of their staff (it being such a large facility with almost 300 residents) and don’t at all compensate for that.
Screener/Receptionist (contract) in London, ON
Productive and friendly co workers
I loved working there. Just not long enough due to it being a contract position. The staff were friendly and patient while I was learning the job duties.
its not worth it
It is not a great place to work they don't care if u have worked 8 hours they will keep u overtime. If its your week end off or day off they call you to come it when I left I was at 20.97 an hour its not worth all the work load. They pay should be 25.00 an hour to start with all the work load they give u heavy people

Choose a different nursing home
Chelsey Park is the worst nursing home I have worked at. The management is terrible, very unorganized, they don't listen to staff problems, never fix equipment, don't hire competent staff, terrible training of new staff. They will hire anyone because they are desperate, and you'll have to do all the work yourself because nobody knows what is going on. You get harassed if you come to work sick but harassed if you call in sick. Nobody to switch a shift with because there is no staff. Hours suck as a part-timer and the only way to get full time is waiting for someone to retire. Always short-staffed. In my time working there I saw about 15 part time workers get hired and quit shortly after, for good reason. If there was new management the job has potential to be good.
