Challenger Motor Freight Inc. - Avis

Good training program for new drivers to get initial experience and a foot in the door of the industry. Over time though extremely poor company to work for, low pay for professional driving industry and absolute garbage management that's treats you like meat. New drivers should work there for a year to gain experience then move on.

Working there was great but there was problems with the management to many protocols put in place and made it hard to do your job right felt rushed all the time

This company is a better late than never company... (Within reason) I would deffinatley incourage people to come join the team.... Have been working for the past 3 going on 4 years and I have no real complaints.

Great equipment and maintenance. there is a lack of communication between drivers and managers and dispatchers always give you the answer you want to hear to get rid of you but never address the issue.

Good starting point for a career in driving. Poor wages and nothing to help for a drivers future. Pension, rrsp, etc. I have a great dedicated Toyota run.

I'm proud to work at Challenger. They have a great reputation among customers and customs brokers. We have a lot of fun in the office. The hardest part of the job is that it's very demanding and fast paced. It can be stressful at times.

My experience working with Challenger was great. Dispatch was knowledgable kind and helpful. The owner was present and frequently had barbeques and was available to talk with. Equipment was new and modern. Maitanence was thorough and well managed. I would recommend this company to everyone.

I worked in the oil patch for many years never any appreciation for working hard in all extremely cold and hot weather. I come to Challenger and been here almost 11 months and have never looked back. Great office staff in both East and West. Their number one priority is our safety. This company wants you to make as much money as you can but reminding you not to put your family second.
