Accounting Manager wanted to get rid of Team Lead and collaborating with the CFO (Director at that time) to create the following scenario:

Through fake hiring process, the Accounting Manager was hiring CFO's personal best friend to be the Accountant.


On the Accountant’s 2nd day of employment, the Accounting Manager was demoting the Team Lead to Accountant position. The Team Lead declined and resigned instead.


As soon as the Team Lead left the building, the Accountant was promoted to be the Team Lead.


1 year after, the CFO fired the Accounting Manager.


1 year after, the Accountant was promoted to be the Controller.


Soon after, the Controller was collaborating with the relatively newly hired Accounting Director to create the following scenario:


Through fake hiring process*, the Controller promoting 2 Staff members to be the Team Lead (Controller was hiring for 2 Team Lead) just because they were the Controller favorite, blatantly disregarding meritocracy and transparency.


1 year after, the newly hired CEO fired the Controller.


If this is not gong show, then what is this?



*Fake hiring process: The Controller personally told 2 of his Staff that they will be promoted to be the Team Lead, but the Controller still wants to post the job, accepting resumes, and conducting interviews just to deceive everyone that the promotion process was fair, open to everyone and transparent.


The job was posted for 4 days only (Fri - Mo).


In the end, even though there were other more qualified staff members who was applying for the job, the Controller promotes
 - plus...

Great place for beginning tech to learn about the trade. Everyday is different and filled with opportunities to learn something new. All the staff are friendly and open to anyone who has the desire to learn.

Room for improvement, pay was competitive to market but benefits were less than market and no room for advancement. Some people were nice to work with.

Everyone was open to questions or clarifications. Great team to work with. Management are very nice and cooperative. The environment was very welcoming and willing to help when you needed it.

typical day was serving irate customers at the front counter, some are very nice and friendly, others...the opposite. very negative environment most of the time, but what can you expect for a company that fixes trucks that are broke down, and the customer doesn't want to be there. not much appreciation towards loyal employee's, don't even have Christmas parties. no room for advancement unless you really enjoy being yelled at, then the sky is the limit.

A good group of folks to work with. Although challenging at times, it was a good learning experience and the education was covered by the company. Highly recommended

No review to give, as they called me and made arrangements to meet a previous employer and they took some time with minimal communication return more then two months as they were thinking to recruit me back for another position.

Attitudes and snickering pushed me away. Management didn’t do anything when I told them I was unhappy in my position and after 6 weeks I decided to leave. I was denied for a position advancement and shortly after I left, I noticed an ad for the same position I was falsely promised advertised. Don’t waste your time with a company who plays you like a fiddle.

An absoloutely amazing place to work. Everybody is very welcoming and willing to help you when you first get started.

Managment is amazing and if you have any issues they tend to them as quickly as they can! The job can be very fast paced at times, especially when yhe busy season hits, but it is all worth it! There is heavy lifting involved, but it should be expected as you are dealing with heavy truck parts.


I would recommend working here to anybody! My time here was an amazing one.

Cervus is a good place to work and is a team oriented environment. The core staff do very well at working together on a daily basis to solve problems that occur and at the end of the day provide a good customer service experience.

The trucking industry in Ontario is very watered-down this is a publicly traded company which requires gross profits unrealistic to the markets allowance.

I have been working with Cervus Equipment for the past five years, the process is improving drastically, communication and relationship is the best, the program accelerate to great is a great program. we see each other as a family. management side i have never seen a operation management, a CEO, CFO, Controller, Supervisor, and Team lead interact, treat, address, solve, and support employees like this. i worked the same environment before were CEO doesn't even say good morning or doesn't even know your name. i am very happy to wake up every morning with a smile to walk into the building to work. A work place key is positive and respective environment that's what you can find in CERVUS EQUIPMENT.

Some co-workers are great but some will abuse their power coz they are friends with the management or because they have been in the company for a long time. If you say no, they will hold it against you. Too much politics and Favoritism. Expected to work all the time but not appreciate what you do. If you ask your teamlead questions, she wouldn’t know the answer or uninterested to help yo. Job security is subpar. If they don’t like you, they will fire you or force you to quit. No teamwork and people will drag you down with rumors and accusations.

Ag/JD SRO side is not manage well. Team leads are incompetent and don’t support their team especially the C&R team lead. AP is unstructured and Team lead allows employee to get away with everything. Always playing favorites and let their favorites and friends do whatever they want. Too much workload yet so little pay. Promised for advancement but they will pretend to never have that conversation when you ask.

Great company yet horrible management. Controller and team lead are bunch of ego maniacs trying to terrorize the team by bullying and threatening them. Promises are not kept. Some people leave this company within 1 month of their hiring date. Salary is below the industry standard and yet is expected to work overtime. No No No. Stay away if possible. The management ain’t changing anytime soon. Teamlead cfor C and R is imcompetent and has favorotes and hires people that are her firends.

Coworkers are very friendly and easy to get along with. Benefits are pretty decent but pay is to low. Disorganized because everyone is so busy. Hardly ever get to stop and take lunch because there are so many deliveries and its not uncommon to finish late. Usually have to pick orders because there is no shipper/receiver.They might be able to attract better employees if the pay was higher.

Considering peterbilt is suppose to be the "best". Cervus Peterbilt in Ayr is terrible, not a dealer quality shop that's for sure, the service ,manager was an absolute joke, could not walk and chew gum at the same time

This company does not value their employees, no respect and favoritism is at its highest level. Their management will make up promises just to get what they want but they never follow through. No word of honor. Very biased company.
