Amazing Work Environment

I worked at CSCHN in Hamilton as a contract worker and I loved it! The staff was so supportive and collaborative. Everyone was incredibly friendly and is eager to help and teach you in any way you need. Management was incredibly kind and empathetic. I was called into the office of the director after 2 weeks to ask how I was doing at the job and if she could ease my transition in any way. I had never experienced such empathetic management! Management was also incredibly flexible, and was very willing to let me participate in activities run by other sectors. It was an amazing place to work to connect with the Francophone community in Hamilton, and I constantly am looking for opportunities to work with them again!

it was my first time working, so the staff was very patient and nice to me. When I made a mistake, they helped me. It wasn't not stressful at all and It was the perfect first time job experience for me

Great place to work and learn about community issues

I learned about the issues faced by people in need and how to help with compassion and integrity. CSC may not be perfect but I got to work with truly wonderful people. The services they provide are very needed in the community.

Amazing front line staff

The staff are amazing. The inter-disciplinary teams work well together and respect one another. There has been a lot of change-over in management which negatively impacted the staff and caused a lot of staff turn-over.

Great place to do volunteer hours with their hip hop program

I learned a lot about leader ship and how to work with children, play games with them, do activities. The hardest part of the job was probably being a student and getting the kids to listen to you.
