Très bon avantages sociaux belles équipes de direction mais c'est tout salaire merdique aucun concret pleins de belles paroles et on a profité de moi je ne suis vraiment pas la seule ambiance d'équipe mauvaise de type hiérarchique très heureuse d'être parti

Thought I was being hired by cbi, wecare paid me. Cbi is failing their clients as they treat them like children and don't let them have a say in their own life. Job is physically demanding, if your a small size DONT go they will put you with clients who you can not probably take care of because you can't lift them etc. Make you work doublea even on your first shift.

This company shows on a daily bases that they are not in it for client care. Scary work practice. Never expect a raise or benefits. They will put hours in or take them away with no warning. Wondering why they have so many missed visits. They have no care about having staff drive all over the city. Management is self absorbed. Treating ALL staff/ clients with no compassion. This company/manger single handedly made Me want to change careers. The way clients are treated should be illegal. Run for the hills before excepting a job at this company.

CBI Health as a company is, unfortunately, poisoned with weak and biased management. On both a corporate and clinic level, management needs a complete overhaul in order to improve staff retention levels.

Work duties are excessive and do not allow for proper work/life balance. Tasks often included activities that were not pertinent to educational backgrounds and insufficient training was provided. Staff were often thrown into difficult situations and told to "figure it out". Although, this did lead to improved problem solving skills despite the immense stress incurred.


Benefits were adequate and was a saving grace for the pitiful salary when compared to the education required for this position.

Based on observation, staff were often exploited beyond comfort levels in an effort to complete activities required of this position in an attempt to avoid incurring additional expenses from hiring additional staff.


Due to the high turnover rate, staff were often expected to fulfill the duties of multiple staff members in order for work activities to be completed.


Lunches and cakes were often provided during staff birthdays which was an added bonus. However, this did not effectively offset the stress incurred from stressors indicated above.


This position with CBI Health, as a whole, was a learning experience of what not to look for in a career.

Nobody cares if you have an accident or you get a traffic ticket while on duty. The moment you are in any of these situations they careless about you.

Hours are not guaranteed as all other home health companies but pay is very low. We didnt get any raise even in this corona period. No body listens to employees.

Don’t get stuck with them.
You will never get enough hours unless you are in the favourites list. They will say we have lots of hours for you but thats a lie

Nice ❤️ it's a good place to work flexible hours. It's gives me time for my children. The supervisor and manager are good people. They are listened to your complain and make sure it's solved so you can be happy and all their clients are nice 👍

If you are starting off in your career CBI is a good place to start and gain experience. CBI is not a company for advancement or promotions.
Pay raises do not exist in the company unless you are working at cooperate.

This is the worst company I have ever worked for. I love the work and my co-workers very much, but the organization itself is evil. They continually pay you less on your pay stub than you are owed, try to guilt you into working 16 hour shifts, and refuse to give anyone rotations because then they would have to pay benefits. Additionally, because they are a for-profit care group, they often barely provide the basic needs to clients while lining their pockets at the top. I have personally seen many workers pay for items for clients out of pocket so that they don't go without. Finally, when their negligence catches up with them, they always blame employees for their lack of oversight.

I worked for CBI for 2 years. I loved the work itself and the rewarding experience of helping the clients. They pay is not enough and you can probably make more working at Tim Hortons. The management is not good either and will not answer your calls and then get into trouble for not talking to management. The scheduling for HCA to client is not efficient and you have to work hard to let management give you a schedule that is good for the client and the HCA. They also are not considerate of how far apart each client is and will give you a ridiculous and impossible schedule and double book you if you do not stand up for yourself. I feel that if the management and salary is improved, then CBI would be a good place to work at.

Some days there is little to no clients and others they pack you back to back. They rarely offer you full time work so you don't get benefits, Psws who have been there longer get overtime while others struggle for hours! Clients are awesome except the odd few who take advantage of the company and turn on you and help get you fired!

I was part of a good team, but we were constantly blamed for things that were out of our control. It created a toxic environment that caused anxiety for me and two other of my coworkers told me they started taking anti-anxiety medication after starting to work at CBI. When I went to HR to ask for help and advice, everything just got worse. I would cry and almost throw up before work sometimes. It was when I went to HR and they did nothing that I really felt helpless. That's when I decided there has to be something else better out there.

There are so many better companies to work with. Don't sacrifice your mental health.
It's not worth the small salary they pay and it will go into other areas of your life as well.

I'm grateful to be at another company now. If you're considering working at CBI, please don't. There are other places out there that will treat you right.

Lots of stress. The management don't care about their employee as long as the work is done. Lots of complaint from staff. Unsatisfactory pay. Not a good place to work.

i enjoy working in a homecare settings but sometimes driving is a problem specially on a bad weather.

This is, unironically, the worst home care organization imaginable. Possibly the worst company in Canada
You will be underpaid.

You will have a volatile schedule.

You will be treated like excrement.

You will never get benefits, even with a 40hr work week.
You will not receive a raise or a promotion.

There is no oversight.

This is the ultimate dead end job.

You are better off working at McDonalds.

CBI is a very nice place to work for your future. I had only concern which is salary at CBI. they pay minimum which is way less than other home health care provider. i kept working there due to better management and patients.

while working at CBI that's where I decide to go into the healthcare field because of the clients I worked for complained about there healthcare aides so I wanted to become one

I went college for HCA and theyre advertising says minimum pay rate is 19 for HCAs, just to find out after working for this company HCA home care i got paid 16, tear and wear on my car, they dont pay you gasoline or milage, i got to the point where i was becoming broke, my schedule was really low hours, so i quit the most dpressing job ever, the clients always complaining about this company. Save time and go find a job at a nursing home
