The work follows you at home, it never stops. No balance between your personal life and your work life. Everybody is tired even though they are good people but everybody is under huge pressure. They don't value their employees, neither their clients.
And the salary...it is awful! Not worth working for them.

This company is a sucking pit of despair, corruption. Management is the worst. They underpay ALL employees terribly bad. DO NOT work for CBI in Lethbridge, Alberta or anywhere else. If I could give it 0 stars out of 5 I would. Awful.

The billing bridge office are full of racists people, especially the senior working at the front desk. The supervisors are full of it. Not a good place to work if you are black, they are quick to write you up without you explaining your own side.
The newmarket office is just the best place to work. They treat people with respect.

Pay is not the greatest, can advance. Employees are awesome. Is a great place to work to start out your career in whichever field you are looking to advance in.

This is the worst company I have ever worked for. I love the work and my co-workers very much, but the organization itself is evil. They continually pay you less on your pay stub than you are owed, try to guilt you into working 16 hour shifts, and refuse to give anyone rotations because then they would have to pay benefits. Additionally, because they are a for-profit care group, they often barely provide the basic needs to clients while lining their pockets at the top. I have personally seen many workers pay for items for clients out of pocket so that they don't go without. Finally, when their negligence catches up with them, they always blame employees for their lack of oversight.

I worked at CBI through a practicum placement opportunity. I was trained in the Human Resources Department and worked as a recruiter. It was an entry-level position, which means that I was tasked with conducting prescreening interviews, booking interviews, and contacting former employees and welcoming them back to current job opportunities. The team I worked with was absolutely exceptional. They were patient, encouraging, understanding, helpful, and collaborative. They were immediate in responses with anything I was unsure of, or didn't know.

I was employed during the covid-19 pandemic, which meant that I was working remotely. I thought it would be challenging, but it was quite seamless of a transition and I had help at every turn.


I would love to be permanently employed with this organization. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and would recommend everybody to join this company.

CBI Company is a great company to work for. They work with you to get started with training, managers, and staff are always available to assist whenever, and however they can. I have had nothing but great experiences with co-workers and upper management. I would highly recommend working with CBI.

Never heard or seen a more disorganized and poor employee treatment with really low pay!!!!
Some religion union that I guess thinks god will pay us in other ways

Only thing is pay should be higher. It's way below province average.

Staff is amazing and it's a great work environment. They work with you on personal issues l, very supportive and know how to boost morale.

I worked for CBI for 2 years. I loved the work itself and the rewarding experience of helping the clients. They pay is not enough and you can probably make more working at Tim Hortons. The management is not good either and will not answer your calls and then get into trouble for not talking to management. The scheduling for HCA to client is not efficient and you have to work hard to let management give you a schedule that is good for the client and the HCA. They also are not considerate of how far apart each client is and will give you a ridiculous and impossible schedule and double book you if you do not stand up for yourself. I feel that if the management and salary is improved, then CBI would be a good place to work at.

Coworkers and management were fantastic to work with. Corporate is really out of touch with the main work force. Way underpaid for the work they expect.

I was a front line nurse at there Simcoe office. Management is horrible. No respect or help when you need it, you are out there on your own and knowing I didn’t have any one of my side was unsafe. I ended up quitting to save my sanity. The stress is not worth it for this place.

CBI is a poorly managed establishment there is no sense of accountability from anyone including the top management since none holds the adequate education and expertise in the business field to run the show sometimes employees have to be in fronline and work inside the clinic due they wanting to save money on staff which then cause work overload and stress leading to two jobs being unfinished . Please if you value your mental health don't consider this as an option .

Are you comfortable with bullying, disrespect and poor management then CBI is the place for you. I still cringe when ever the name CBI comes up. No appreciation whatsoever. CBI has the meanest sets of people in the Winnipeg branch. High employee turnover because of the mean management style. The supervisors are snitches. Don’t go there

The work environment is very friendly, lovely people to work with. Everyone is very caring and compassionate for what they do and they enjoy helping people rehabilitate. It is very fast paced, lots to learn and grasp so you are able to keep a handle on everything. There is never a dull moment between your coworkers and also the clients. You get to know your clients and build a rapport over time. It was definitely a great stepping stone to continue in the medical administration sector.

Horrible management. A shame approach to management style and no finger on the pulse of client and employee needs. They don’t take feedback and instead blame the employee for their company’s problems. Learned a lot about MVA and LTD clients.

Where I worked it was toxic. Staff could not get along. New employees advanced quickly if you were to managements liking and said yes. Don’t listen to seasoned employees.

Some days there is little to no clients and others they pack you back to back. They rarely offer you full time work so you don't get benefits, Psws who have been there longer get overtime while others struggle for hours! Clients are awesome except the odd few who take advantage of the company and turn on you and help get you fired!

Encouraging working environment with lots of opportunity for advancement. Amazing staff. Can get a bit stressful when dealing with the public but you have the back up if necessary.

This is a very stressful place to work, as Management do not fix work issues. The only thing that is left from employee is their pride. Not worth or to waste time working here.
