Aircraft Maintenance Engineer in Mirabel, QC
Great, hard working team
Working at Cargojet has been a great experience to date. The entire team is very knowledgeable, dynamic and are always willing to help. Management is great; always willing to sit down, talk and resolve any problems you may have. Working outside all year long can be difficult at times, but being properly clothed, which is mostly supplied by the company, is important. Being autonomous plays an important role as well as Being knowledgeable of systems and taking the proper decisions. Overtime may be required due to snags or additional flights, but that is part of aviation, and to be expected. This job is for people that are willing to put in the work, learn, and be a team player. Hard work pays off at Cargojet: Good salary, decent benefits and being able to be part of a great operation.

Great place to work at and I'm hoping to work for them again.
Warehouse environment working on loading and unloading lines, loading containers for CargoJet aircrafts. Had lower back issues and management worked with me during my employment with CargoJet.

No frills airline cargo company
Cargo jet runs like Southwest airlines. A no frills low cost low maintenance operator. They have major contract with large companies because of their low costs. Most employees are underpaid for the workload and responsibilities. Managers are non existent. Poor maintenance on the equipment and most of them are outdated or overdue. There are comradeship among the workers but the pay rate is way below the industry average for airport workers. Non union environment means seniority is none. So turnover is high. Most young workers last less than two years so the turnover is high. Unless you are interested in working with airplanes there are no careers here. Also the work is hazardous and high risk for accidents.

Got push out really quick
I work their for a few week and was think that it be a great places to work I was wrong lack of management lack of training and basically being throw into the fire Green horn telling u how to do your job never in my 8 1/2 year career I was treat so badly by a group of people who doesn’t like other airline worker I was told off when I was unloading a pit on a 767 I am sorry but better training and schedule who be a great deal if u wanted to work their
Dramatic and immature
Worked at Halifax and I gotta say the management was horrible. If you like working with people who are related and bicker, apply. Most of the time it’s people talking down on other employees or the work crew is touching each other . Literally men grabbing at each other’s and playing around. It’s hard to work in an environment where safety should be taken more serious than people trying to grab each others butts. Not even a joke.
