Working at a process-oriented company can be challenging but when things have been designed intricately to give you more values and smoother workflows , career becomes absolutely promising .Canon is such a work place and if you work hard , it is place you can make a good money in sales jobs !
Great work environment and great benefits but lacks career development program for future growth within the company. Unfortunate. Salaries are also mid range and don't promote employees to stay with the company.
Canon is a great opportunity to build your sales resume and grow within the many areas of a company if you are focused on steady employment. Very good sales training and name recognition for your resume.
-the only good thing about this job is the benefits (rebates on canon products and good insurance) -boring products to sell and deal with -managers are all horrible -impossible to use your own style of selling since everything is micromanage. -people that do well are usually the suckups -would not recommend this job to my worst enemy.
The work load was high and we had to do overtime during month end. Poorly managed in Montreal. They don't follow the company's HR policies. The headquarter in Toronto doesn't seem to be aware of the way the department is being managed in Montreal. Favoritism. Some people were working hard while others were only socializing. Canon is a good company, with a great philosophy. It is really a shame that the office in Montreal does not follow the guidelines.
I really enjoyed the years I spent working at Canon. It taught me a lot about persistence, hard work and never giving up. Great Management and ability for upward movement. Couldn't have asked for my from an employer.
