310S Mechanics Apprentice(hired as) but bumped down to tire/oil person in Gravenhurst, ON
Fast paced at times.
Got hired for 1 position. Took the manager a little while to sell the job to me. Duties and pay structure. I finally accepted the offer and for the first 6 weeks all was well. I then however had my duties and pay structure changed to the same as the job I had just left and the reason I left my previous job. I find there is a lot of truth bending to out right lying from some of the managers.
Apprentice Mechanic in Collingwood, ON
You work with great techs in the shop. Management is a nightmare and gets worse as it gets to the owner. He’s something special to. Everyone thinks they are in charge and try to run the show. A lot of empty promises and they never do what they say they will. You get blamed for everything. Management take no responsibility towards nothing.
Sales Supervisor in Langford, BC
Feels like a family!
I have worked at two different Canadian Tires with three different owners, the current owner of Canadian Tire Langford is by far the best Canadian Tire employer I have worked for. They have made a lot of overdue changes to the store and much needed updating which has at times been stressful but has much improved this location and work environment. They pay pretty well and in my personal experience there has been a lot of room for growth in the business if you're willing to put in the work.I've made quite a few friends working here, and I enjoy working with people who treat you like more than just a coworker. I would highly recommend this location.
Automotive Apprentice in Lethbridge, AB
It is the truest eample of a dead end job for underappreciated people who work for close to nothing.
I am not really the person to be like this but ive honestly never worked at a worse place. You have the ability to fit and and go far in this company if you promise to never think with positive creativity, logically or progressively. The kind of workplace where suggesting a method of work that would be more efficient is literally a punishable (write ups) offence. A typical day I could expect to be chastised for something that I didnt even have part of or something that was the rule, or proper procedure, yesterday but today is a write up-able offence. Management approaches every issue as though their employees aren't people, where every small and petty thing needs to reprimanded without the accused having a chance at defence. You will be tried and jured before you enter the room. A place where hard work is not only not recognized, but not wanted. Its high school, where the most important factor in relation to job security is if you passed the popularity contest. I would say that if you are the kind of person that enjoys a job that isnt strict about lateness or laziness this is the place for you.
