Co Workers are great, can build excellent friendships since you are at work more then at home. Management do their best to ruin whatever job culture the men and women on the ground try and create. No such thing as a good time on the RR.
i would not recommend cp rail to my worst enemy. extremely stressful and toxic environment. corporate and union at constant battle, continuous breaching of the collective agreement, continual blame on the running trades for issues that are of the company not the workers, workers being mistreated and threatened by the company on a daily basis, you are not given all of the tools and information during your training by the company-including how to pay yourself and all of the many ways to do so. the company cares about making profits and not about their employees and refuse to fix and maintain their equipment and tracks unless forced to do so. workers are overworked, fatigued, and have no work-life balance. they have an intriguing face when it comes to hiring new employees, but do not be mistaken by this soul sucking company where you will be abused and mistreated.
