Avis d'employé sur Société canadienne d'hypothèques et de logement (S.C.H.L.)
Good company government
The government department pays well but seems to be confused on who does what work. Overall the employees and managers are helpful. Good place to work

My time at CMHC was short due to being contracted. It's a decent place to work as you learn a lot outside of your role, which I enjoyed. However, being a contractor it sucked because the pay you were given compared to the work given doesn't really balance it out. The people there are friendly and are willing to teach you if you're willing to learn.

I had great experience working in research. Great people and opportunity to contribute to meaningful work and interesting projects to support ultimate goal of housing everyone can afford and meets their needs, but there is limited opportunity for advancement for junior positions. Most are senior level, meaning besides student/intern roles there is not much between student and senior specialist or advisor.
Great colleagues, interested in hearing your feedback, opportunity to show skills, gain experience.
Limited opportunity advancement
