only their own people will get permanent hired or help for any thing. I worked so many places before never had experience like this. Maybe I was alone brown person there. Not sure why. Some else had perfume and emailed me . He suppose to make sure before saying. They fire people so easily for any small mistake.

Joined London Life when it was still London Life in 1987, then we bought Prudential around 1996. Culture changed a bit then. Around 2000 Great West Life bought London Life and then again, company culture changed a bit. Later on Canada Life came aboard and another cultural change happened, but it was certainly not monotonous

Micromanaged with very high quotas and constant nit-picking. Hire several in the fall and tell them we intend to hire everyone on in 12 months. Historically we hire less than 10%. Didn't used to be this way.

Good place to work but undergoing an outsourcing exercise which is ill advised. This is wrecking the moral of long term employees unfortunately. Upper management is bent on doing this with little regard as to how this will negatively affect the company long term. They have outsourced before with poor results and the new management team is determined to reattempt the failed experiment.

I would recommend anyone to this company.
Taking calls has its busy seasons and it is slow downs. We are currently working from home. Which is great but as any business work from home has its challenges.

Modernization in the works, but still a ways to go. Good company and relatively stable with work life balance. Pay is average and benefits are light.

The people, mainly women, when I worked there were, on the whole, well selected, trained, by the personnel department to work cooperatively, collaboratively, and for their general attitudes of friendlicontribution to a work atmosphere

The culture is very friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of avenues to grow in the company. Very friendly end users that you communicate with. The systems in place are very efficient.

Enjoyed the lead hand position until reconstruction of 3 areas were combined. All 3 area were very different in job qualification. I enjoyed working at London Life until they were bought out. It is time for a new career that I can keep learning and gaining experience in other areas of a work place. I have a lot experience and knowledge as I have been told by my resent employer.

Typical day always busy with your job responsibilities, days went by quickly. Enjoyed lunch breaks with colleagues. Management always keeping us updated on our jobs and changes etc..

Good place to work with a decent wage and pretty solid security. In my department management treated you with respect and left you alone to do your work if you showed you could be dependable. Treated with respect. I've heard more negative stories from other areas of the company. Work load can be heavy and difficult to get paid for overtime to complete the work. But work is often repetitive and doesn't change much. I enjoyed my time here but found it difficult to advance and eventually moved on to a different company.
