Treat employees like they matter to the company. Any company would not continue to be in business were it not for the employees doing the work. Management is needed but they should come down to the employee level instead of sitting on their high pedistals. value the employees and make them feel appreciatted.

Treat employees like humans be concerned that training is not being carried out properly. Stop being a bad employer

Pay them a liveable wage

It has changed since then but be more present

Listen to their employees because they have valuable insights into what the daily business is really like. Management is afraid to get their hands dirty and would rather dictate from afar. Open door policy should not just be a phrase tossed around.
