start 7am sharp, contact all drivers to make sure that they are on schedule for deliveries, go into SAP look for additional orders that need to be shipped out, add to my dispatch, re route runs, call customers to advise them when there product is arriving, schedule drivers/carriers as needed, answering e-mails, I usually get between 150 to 200 e-mails per day, coordinate freight movement with other division, invoicing all orders going out to customers, loading trucks and off loading trucks with forklift when needed. My day would end anywhere from 7pm to 11pm

My computer skills improved quit a bit, learning different formulas and using a pivot table for organizing orders.

Management needs to improve.

Worked with a great group of people, they were easy to get along with, hard workers and made the most stressful days easier to manage with their positive attitudes.

The hardest part of this job was working 14 hour days 7 days a week to get the orders out (during busy season) when it could have taken 6 days a week at 10 hour days if managed properly.

The most enjoyable part of this job, was getting it done, doing it right and satisfying our customer needs. It felt good to hear praise from our customers on what a great job I was doing, especially when the messages came from management!!
