The company heavily favors the Quebec store and the rest of the stores and managers are given scraps. Upper management is out of touch with the stores and blames the store team for a lot of issues. But other than that - the work/life balance is great and it's a very easy store to run.

This company does not know how to handle the changing world. They come out with rules for the "new normal" but as soon as a storm comes through the upper management with always blame the lower management. There is always an excuse and never a straight answer. Calls go unanswered. You can exceed in sales and service but they will always demand more and more.

Bouclair has become a stressful environment to work in due to the changing nature of the product and customer base. Some changes were not implemented as well as they could have been. The company tried to grow too quickly and so the stress levels were high.

No rewards with this company. Expect too much in very low hours . Head office did not look at it from the stores view and very stressful and frustrating to work

Store level staff were great, DSM and National Sales Director not so much. I would not recommend this position as a SM or ASM. Pay was midlevel and the bonus system is antiquated and impossible to reach as budgets are so outrageous and unattainable. The quality of the product is variable, but you get what you pay for.

Terrible upper management, treat staff like dogs, unattainable goals, extremely outdated systems, disorganized documents, Taking bereavement is frowned upon. Terrible staff discount. Customers usually get better deals.. they hide broken product and still push it out the door without telling customers.. stock is always off and have a very stupid process for Ecom orders takes forever and customers expect you to place order in store... missing. Barcodes can take up to two days to find a sky for a customer... providing horrific customer service... helping no parties envolved.

As store manager, I was driven by a difficult District manager who was consistently expecting more and more, the staff is overworked.
The entire store must be moved around according to weekly plan o grams,

but not given proper time to make these changes. There was a lot of paperwork required but no time to accomplish it, as you are required on the floor at all times. My staff however were excellent, and hard working I enjoyed working with my team.

There are much better retail companies to work for, who value their workforce and have more realistic expectations.

The do not treat staff well and pay little and expect more work. District Sales Managers are not nice people and there was a lot of stress with this company.

bouclair can be a fun place to work. they expect alot form the managers with out giving them training which puts to much stress on the managers.
