I guess it takes a good part at what location you're from.
I've got to experience working at two different locations. All I can say is you definitely don't need to sign up for a gym membership.Theres is so much running around, dealing with 4-5 customers at once, changing the store according to your visuals, remembering what kind of stock you have and seeing if it is possible to order online. Collecting emails and customer service is the main focal point.


My main store that I worked at was always so busy, we had to do extra things than other stores had to do like security tag and zip type our panels and bed sheets, and they would cut our hours if we couldn't make budget that week but still so much to do. Theres definitely a lot to compare to.


Staff is O.k, I worked with mostly older people, and the kids would give you attitude or be very lazy, and I never got weekends off, you literally have to book them off in advance rather than hoping they'll remember that you haven't had a weekend to yourself in months.


Sometimes the music in the store was weird, there were only a few good songs if this matters to some people aha. But I definitely learned a lot like cutting blinds, and somewhat interior designing, and there were some cute things I did buy, but the discount kind of sucks.

You also get your discount card in three months of working.


I think the district managers expect to much at such a low pay.

I loved working here!! Great staff and customers! So glad I met all of the wonderful people and got to work with them! It was a good company to be employed by.

Unfortunately the turnover rate is very high in this company. managers are given too small a budget to train employees accordingly, so most people are asked to do jobs they dont understand, find it all too stressfull, and leave.

this means that the managers are over worked, understaffed, and getting grief from higher ups. which normally leads to the manager quitting.


if you are unfortunate enough to have a store where this has happened (in my experience, most of them) you will probably have a stressfull time keeping up with the workload.

Bouclair is a great place to work. Between customer service provided by all employees and the physical work done in the store, every day is enjoyable with its different tasks. I've enjoyed working with my coworkers in this fun environment as a key holder and am looking forward to advance my career in the company as assistant manager. I love working with my current store manager and am very excited to assist her further our store's success by being her assistant manager.

Upper management is unaware of what it takes to build a good team. They have no compassion or understanding. Time frames are unreasonable and stores are always understaffed, as anyone who is a good employee quits after being mistreated by upper management. They do not provide a budget for staff based on sales but they just decided on a random number that leaves the management working long days with no breaks and no compensation. If you value yourself as an individual and are a hard worker do NOT apply for this underpaid position. You will work yourself into the ground with not support or recognition.

Come into the store at 8:30 a.m. to open the store and get all of the cash and paperwork ready before opening at 9:30 a.m.
Figure out what needs to be done throughout the day and assign each employee to a task.

Meet every customers needs in what they are looking for.

Make sure employees have completed their assigned tasks.

Keep checking to make sure the store is clean and organized as well as making sure the cash drawers are fully stocked with change and bills.

Also checking emails frequently during the day, answering phone calls.

Closing time- count the cash box in safe as well as out front. Put the paperwork together from the day for the morning. Lock up the store.


I've learned how to run an entire store by myself as well as be able to create and establish a good balance with getting tasks done. My co-workers are very good workers and always eager to learn more.

Having the opportunity to meet with diverse customers everyday, helping them with their needs was always a pleasure. The management could of been better.
