I really enjoyed working for Boston Pizza Bonnyville. The overall job was fun but still busy. The management were great and they are fantastic to work with! Fellow employees were always helpful and worked hard. The opportunity to move up is always an option. I recommend working for Boston Pizza.
Opportunity for advancement
Long shifts when in high volume
Working at a Franchise location with zero management structure. You work for the staff & management are just Glorified shift leaders, the only real manager is the old franchise owner who doesn't know anything about running a business. Communication is disgusting & none of the BP culture is followed at all. Recognition for your work means nothing & getting a raise is based on how close you are with the owners son. Don't waste your time theirs better jobs out there
Playing dress up, reliving highschool glory, working long hours for nothing if you're bored
Long hours, no respect, no benefits, expected to know things right away, no follow ups or coaching, no structure or system

I first started at the Nordel location just before I graduated high school and worked there for just over three years. Management was great and I greatly enjoyed being around my coworkers on busy fast paced weekends and even on slow days, we were all one big family and it was a great time while also being professional. I had personal issues that hampered my hours and availability but my GM was extremely understanding about it. Overall BP is a good first job for someone, or a first restaurant job. All I really have to say... watch your pay checks!!!!!!! The guy who does payroll at this location tends to mess up paychecks BADLY!!!! This was one of many reasons why I quit, not to mention many other of my coworkers (who are like family) got fired for unjust reasons. The new GM is a bit much sometimes and will not help servers, and the weekend manager does not know how to properly close the bar and dining room. Honestly, I would not apply at this location or go eat there, it's becoming a mess.
Friendly staff, fast paced, flexible hours
Overly long hours, no breaks, fast paced
Management always yelling about mistakes and is all around negative. Employees are not valued at all (0 appreciation) and most end up quitting. Extra long hours and if you work UFC you don't even get a break but they still deduct your pay for it. Do not work here!
Terrible management, long hours
Started working at Boston Pizza as a first job at a young age. Staff are friendly and easy to get along with and management was impeccable. The only con was working part time the management team wouldn't set an exact schedule with you. Shifts would be booked all over the place and sometimes they would book over your days off even after they were approved. This job definitely makes you feel like part of a team and can never complain about the food discounts.
Working at this restaurant was amazing, very friendly environment and inviting. Although it is a fast pace job, it is not as stressful as expected. I learned time management, problem solving, and collaboration at this job.
Good beginners job. Very Welcoming to new faces. By far one of my favorite jobs, not getting enough hours though.
Ever since I started working at Boston pizza my life has been full of ups and downs. You are able to build such strong friendships with coworkers and you can rely on one another on a bust or stressful night. I was welcomed with open arms and treated with respect from everyone. Highly recommend this job for younger teens for a beginner job as a hostess!
Made good friends of all ages, discounted meals, good money for teens.
The experience as whole was not enjoyable, I was know that people have to go through the tough times to see the light at the end of the tunnel. But there was not light at the end for me. The environment was awfully stressful and the job was without a doubt not for me.
I got to drink some water when I needed it.
I never had an end goal, I was never told when I would be done.
If I busy a lot, I work as a dishwasher and pace fast. And also I help my staff to make pizzas every morning if my staff needs my help. I'm willing to help my staff to make a lot of pizzas. I have been working hard in BP's about 13 years when I was 23 years old. I never give up from BP's even I'm still patient while I work hard. I like all staffs of BP's even I chat with them. They are nice.
The day would start by me checking in amd than heading to the kitchen to start on any dishes. There was almost always dishes to do but breaks where available, when i needed help i could easily ask and get it. The breaks where about half an hour and you got about 50% off a meal which was nice.
Really good community and people. Everyone is happy to answer a question if you don't know how to do something. Managers are happy to teach something new and keep you up to date on your training. Managers are very supportive and accommodating of different schedules and the need to drop or pick up more shifts. Overall love it here, just wish I had more hours.
