Overall a good environment to work at, had a good time working there. During hockey season and playoffs it becomes extremely busy and stressful but with good co-workers it is manageable to get through the hard times.
Fun place to work
Management isn’t so great
Probably the best place ive been hired at. Really great management and everyone was really nice and helpful. I've worked at places were customers were constantly complaining but this place was nothing like that at all, really great management and staff members were always doing their job efficiently. Sadly, the owners at the time sold and I'm not sure about the new managers but I'm sure they're great.
Working at this restaurant was amazing, very friendly environment and inviting. Although it is a fast pace job, it is not as stressful as expected. I learned time management, problem solving, and collaboration at this job.
Good beginners job. Very Welcoming to new faces. By far one of my favorite jobs, not getting enough hours though.
Ever since I started working at Boston pizza my life has been full of ups and downs. You are able to build such strong friendships with coworkers and you can rely on one another on a bust or stressful night. I was welcomed with open arms and treated with respect from everyone. Highly recommend this job for younger teens for a beginner job as a hostess!
Made good friends of all ages, discounted meals, good money for teens.

The typical work day wasn't overly stressful and there was often a steady stream of customers. I learned a lot about the inner workings of restaurant work, and the experience was helpful in teaching teamwork and working under pressure.
Working at Boston Pizza can be very stressful and high paced at times when it's a busy night or when orders aren't being packaged correctly, but overall it is a good place to work and you develop skills by answering phones and taking orders. All oft the staff makes you feel welcomed when you first start.
It was a good job for a bit. With summer coming up I need more hours and they weren’t able to provide me with that.
The hardest part of working at Boston pizza is managing where everyone gets seated, while keeping all of the servers happy. It can get stressful, because we often get groups of 40+.
This was my introduction to the restaurant scene, and it taught me the basics of the industry. However, the hosts had way too many responsibilities to properly handle with the limited amount of staff on, and struggled.
Working at Boston Pizza was fine. Easy to get along with coworkers. What I didn't like about it was the lack of attention the management paid to new staffs. Why I left the job after 2 months of working there was because as a high school student, they required me to stay past 12 am every Friday. I only worked 2 days out of the week which they were ok with due to balancing homework on the weekends. So I understood why they wanted me to work more. However, I live quite far was worried about my own safety travelling at late night yet they did not accommodate.
An awesome group of people who always make sure to treat customers with respect and to always accommodate to their needs. I learned to always have patients and to always make the best out of negative situations. Management is awesome, very consistent on giving fair shifts etc.
Boston pizza Port Coquitlam is a fast-paced environment. The UFC nights that would be hosted could either be very relaxed or incredibly stressful. The number of people that come in without a reservation and make you re-arrange the restaurant tables to accommodate them isn't always the most easygoing way to work.
The plus side is free water. Gotta hydrate.

Can be slow paced Monday to Wednesday. After Wednesday things pick up, co-workers and managers are generally friendly and helpful to each other. Kind of hard to make good money as a hostess. Overall pleasant environment and easy going.
Management needs improvement. Should be paid for online training. Hosts got unfair tip percentages. Management had favorites. Host hours are very short (3-4 hrs). Management often hired new employees when others asked for more hours.
