I started working at blinds to go in 2009. I first went to visit the store to get a feeling to see if I can enjoy this job and then passed an interview. When I got hired, they took the time to train me during a week and they accommodate people that live far by staying at the hotel and paying expenses during the week. I thought I was in a dream because no other job had offered me anything close. During the week I was in class with other individuals (we all had no idea about blinds etc.) They brought us in store and at the plant to really understand what we do as a company and the service we want to deliver to every customer. I found it special that the carpet is red and that it represents we must make every customer feel special and treat him as if he was our friend buying a blind. I liked the no pressure policy and that if you really take the time to understand your customer and help him he will naturally buy. The service is their number one priority in order to keep our customers happy. The head office was very welcoming and also in the stores, we feel that we are already part of the family. The team was patient and took the time needed to teach me all the products and the questions I can ask to help the customer best in order to get results. They do believe strongly in feedback and being open minded but it does come easy when you want to learn and become a better consultant. Without feedback there is no way of knowing if you are on the right path and by asking often you can correct yourself faster. When i started working in 2013 in BTG they did create a good 1st impression with their training Montreal and stay facility and amazing Trainer and everything. But when i joined the store, they were probably cutting down on cost by minimizing staff .So during busy days it was just horrible . We didn't even have time to lunch coz of staffing issues. With 12 hours shift twice a week all day standing turned me off completely. The salary structure was AMAZING! with good growth options as well .

Is a retail job where you get to meet all the customers and give some advise about blinds and windows coverings. You do lift heavy blinds every morning and when customers come to pick them up. Most of the time there is no manager, so you have to do your best with customer service related issues.The co-workers are nice and friendly. I did learn a lot about blinds and in the process i met a lot of lovely people , the part that I liked the most is that the company rotate personal from store to store and you get to know everyone. Other thing that I love about this jobs is that the owner and the CEO keep in touch with everyone as much as they can.

dias excelente de trabajo. aprendi a ser mas responsable en las areas de trabajo de acuerdo a seguridad industrial y a toma de desiciones. Excelente don de mando y solucion de problemas. buena relacion de trabajo. adaptarme a trabajar con personas de diferentes paises y diferentes costumbres. me gusto por que habia dias que se trabajaban horas suplementarias y se pagaban las horas de trabajo .
