Jai adoré travailler au Best Western premier. Les gens sont très généreux et formelle.
After the sale of the hotel the culture, respect in the workplace and following safety, overall customer service and labor codes took a backseat to the business
divisive and disrespectful leadership
There is nothing positive about this company. Do no t waste your time with them. Everything HAS tocbe micromanaged by the general manager. These people does not underetand how much attention the food and beverage department needs. They need miracles to bring this hotel up from the ground. If you are smart you will stsy away from this property.

One of there mottos is HONESTY and that is the last thing they stand for . The manager hired me under false pretences and then wouldn’t stand behind anything she said . She also had no clue in to how banquets were done , such as decor , table settings, scheduling, even booking them . And let me go 11 days before Christmas and before my probation period was up. Head office or the GM didn’t seem to care how the staff was mistreated . I was a hard worker and was extremely good at my job but because the manager had favouritism towards another employee I had no chance . They have a lot of turn over with staff and now I see why .
The staff at this hotel when I was working there were amazing. They are hardworking, but also know how to have fun at the same time. The management was very knowledgeable, and professional, while also being friendly and caring to all staff. However, the hotel itself is not very busy, which means you better be prepared for some downtime.
Very seasonal in terms of how busy it is. Summers can be crazy with overwhelming work. Winters you can sometimes see one guest an hour. Management is great, they do their job. The effect of being in a 3 star environment definitely shows, but they are very family friendly and relaxed. Hardest part can be the lack of support in the evenings, you need to really step up to still provide that wow experience. The most enjoyable part is the location. A tourist location right by the beach, just an overall great place to be.
This is the most dysfunctional place I’ve ever worked. The owners don’t CARE how they treat there workers and they okay cat and Mouse with you every day. This is to be a best west plus I would give it way below a minus. Rooms are so dirty as it has not seen any money into it since it has been built. We have next to nothing to work with and they want it a A PLUS WHAT A JOKE. All I can say is stay away for The Best Western plus south Edmonton
I was never treated so poorly in my life. I would never recommend working there. I lost 2 family members in 7days, one of them my dad and the manager basically acted like the 10 days off which included my weekend off as though I was on vacation. The comments made to me by the manager were disgusting.
Pretty sure management is running company into the ground. Nothing works and have to constantly make excuses. Website always says closed. Pool never works. Customers constantly over charged. Free breakfast and free laundry is a lie. Constantly under attack for things out of your control. Collectors calling wanting money. Multiple Employees shorted hours. Constant changing of shifts.
Worked here for a few months. Tons of drama. Other housekeepers would move slowly so you would have to help them and end up doing double the work as everyone else for the same amount of pay. Never appreciated. Manager never solved any of the problems I brought up to her. Manager extremely unprofessional with her attitude towards certain employees.
Shortly into my first shifts, I began to notice that the management they had working there made for a very uncomfortable work environment. The one supervisor they have there does not know how to control her emotions, especially in front of co-workers AND guests. Will scream at you in front of guests when you don't know what to do and talk down to you and other managers. This supervisor would call out other people who work there in front of you when they noticed they did something wrong or even just wrote on a piece of paper that the supervisor created or when packets of paper were not put in the correct place that they personally designated. Makes you scared to go into work for your next shifts. When the supervisor would start losing it and had to run away from the front desk, the hotel manager just told them to go out back and calm down, and to come back out when they are done. Not acceptable in a workplace environment, especially when someone is in a higher position such as a supervisor. The location also has a very high turnover rate, and they should wonder why.
