Very unprofessional housekeeping manager. Other housekeepers would gossip and take their time on rooms so that others would have to pick up their work. Could never plan for a day off since you were called in every day, then manager would get angry when you couldn’t come in. Workload unfair as some girls would have 3x the rooms of other girls. Don’t suggest working here at all.
When I first started everyone was so nice then I got to know them and my opinion changed I got the feeling that they all feel better than you. The managers have their favorites and it shows. Ever since the new GM took the role of GM I had never felt more like a number in my life. IF you want to work in a place that does not care about you please send your resume in now. but I have never felt so negative about a place and the people in it
Worked here for a few months. Tons of drama. Other housekeepers would move slowly so you would have to help them and end up doing double the work as everyone else for the same amount of pay. Never appreciated. Manager never solved any of the problems I brought up to her. Manager extremely unprofessional with her attitude towards certain employees.

The management team was unorganized and unprofessional. The hours were not full-time as was advertised. The job was enjoyable and I had great co-workers.

A typical day at work was fun and enjoyable with the company of great co-workers. Never a dull moment. The day consists of assisting guest services with the guests needs and assuring a great stay. Also, many banquet functions and conference meetings must be prepared, the Porters are responsible for the set up, maintenance and overall care of such events. We are responsible for the clean up after an event to prepare and set up the next one. We have many other responsibilities as well, Porters generally do a little bit of everything in the Hotel from maintenance/technical duties to customer service and hospitality duties. In the end, a great place to work.

I have been cleaning now for 4 years and I just really enjoy it. I love working in a hotel because you get to meet people from all over and there is the opportunity to move up in the company. I had been at Best Western in Brantford, ON Canada for a year, than got a working holiday visa and moved to Sydney Australia where I also worked for Best Western!
Assign guest room cleaning to staff. Housekeeping is hard work. Staff and management were friendly. It is very hard to schedule staff as the occupancy can be either full or half full. It was nice to work friendly people.

Start by setting tables, and prepping for dinner service Serve dinner, either buffet, or plated. Help clear sections, coffee and tea service. End of shift cleaning, and polishing of silverware. Management is excellent, and easy to get along with, as for co workers. Always willing to support and help out where needed. Hardest part of the job is when someone doesn't show up for a shift, or something is missing from the event that we can not get, or unhappy costumers. Most enjoyable part of the job, getting everything done and assuring guests had a good time.
Food is wonderful, being able to work in more than one department.

I worked at best western as server. I am loving it because my co-workers are really good, understanding and they are fun to work with. i learned a lot of thing i never learned before. The hardest part of this job is when you carry a huge tray that is full of food. Over all, I love this place and I respect the management.
The job was good the management was harsh. They went through staff quick and they were not beneficial to their employees. Everyone knew false and some private confidential information that shouldn't be shared. The customers were great and they made the job very enjoyable.
