Good company but limited career advancement opportunities

Overall, Bell is a fantastic company to work for (only certain departments). Executive team is a bit old-schooled, lacks innovation however working teams are composed of highly talented and capable individuals who will make your day and go beyond to over-deliver for you if you click. Fun people to work with but limited opportunities for career advancement

Good salary (start salary + commissions) for the amount of hours worked, poor management, poor culture, Good technology (the technology that bell owns is probably the best in Canada), no acknowledgment from the employer, no opportunity for advancement. A lot of racism in this company.

It was a great place to grow

Bell had been through a lot of changes during the time that I was there and this was sometimes difficult on employees and the moral. The people were awesome. There was lots of opportunity to grow and continuous learning was supported.

If you want to work steady, but don't care about hours and working possibly late to get the last job done, then its a good job for you. Expect to work all holidays and weekends. Expect to work outside in all weather conditions even if most other people with a different employer in town are sent home for bad weather. Depending on size of your shop, there can be advancement, weekends off, holidays off and home dispatch sooner if a larger shop longer if a smaller shop (seniority based). difficult to plan family events. don't expect to finish the last job at your shift end.

Horrible, no hourly salary was all commission based, they taught you to lie to the customer and try to pull sales in to get them to switch from their internet provider. Also the walking distance was very tiring expect to talk over 20k steps in one day

Great entry level job

The ability to make minimum wage is never ideal, however, commission does make up for it. A typical day involves a lot of product reviewing (as the industry changes constantly) and guiding customers along their purchase as they come into the store.

A good chunk of what you make in commission can be based on if your location is busy or not, however, every slow location can be made decent if you can make a sale.

It is a very sales orientated, target driven company as is any other sales organization.

If you are looking to get into the company, read sales books, job shadow the tops sales reps and emulate them at the beginning until you find your own comfort zone.

Work evenings and weekends if you want to make high commission. Much less foot traffic during the day (for the most part).

They will move good sales reps to better locations if they can prove themselves.

The ability to move up is easy if you are patient enough and can hit your targets consistently. Even manager in each location was once a sales rep.
