What I learned
Bilingual Customer care (Employé actuel) –  Toronto, ON14 mai 2019
Thank Bell for teaching me how to deal with angry customers to the point at the end of the call, in many cases they go back happy. That is customer service. The hardest part of this job is that sometimes you can talk to people who refuses to accept the truth that you are explaining. You know what you are talking about, see it , you understand it, and you are trying to explain it politely, however the client (very few cases) refuses to get it, or does not understand it. This experience has taken me to another level of living with people acknowledging that no matter what I think or believe is true, there are people who will always disagree with me. The overall job learning experience has improved my experience of living peacefully in differences, and always feel happy about who I am, and what I do.

Mediocre pay for endless hours of work
Senior Manager, Human Resources (Ancien employé) –  Toronto, ON13 mai 2019
You're only as good as your last mistake at Bell. The industry has created monster-like leaders driving employees 24/7 and pay doesn't reflect effort
Points positifs
You can make a career of changing positions regularly, so it doesn't get boring
Points négatifs
Poor senior leadership driving terrible culture, pay is middle of the road and not reflective of the hard work required to be successful

The teams and some supervisors are great to work with and want to help you to succeed.
Field Sales Representative (Ancien employé) –  Halifax, NS13 mai 2019
Can be really good money, but expect to knock on 80 doors 2 to 3 times each week to make 5 to 8 sales (switch to Bell's home internet and TV services). One has to work in all forms of weather and will need a reliable car. If you have a breakdown or your sales are low for a few weeks, do not expect support. If you are in an area that has you concerned for your safety, it is up to you to do your job as safety and support are not a part of the Bell core values.

A typical rep works for 55 to 60 hours a week and can be 7 days a week. Reps are required to drive into downtown Halifax once a week for a meeting if in the HRM.
Points positifs
Excellent pay/compensation potential
Points négatifs
Work life ballance is hard to achieve

This was the best coop job I could have asked for.
Data Analyst (Ancien employé) –  St. John's, NL11 mai 2019
Pay was great. I learned a lot of incredibly useful skills. My boss was amazing. Experience may vary depending on if your boss is as amazing. The schedule was flexible as long as your work is completed. Team was very supportive and we had meetings each week via phone. The people were very nice and I loved the environment.

Lots left to be desired in Bell Media
Producer (Employé actuel) –  British Columbia11 mai 2019
I could list off a thousand things and would still not complete this list. However, working for the media branch is one of the most toxic elements of this company.

There's limited to no room for advancement, management at the local level are afraid for their own jobs, and will hold people back from realizing their full potential. Workplace culture is very political,
Points positifs
Perks are okay
Points négatifs
Limited opportunities for advancement, no support from management, no recognition from management

Lowest paying in the industry
ACCOUNT MANAGER (Ancien employé) –  Mississauga, ON6 mai 2019
Responsibilities outweigh compensation. Most people just ignore the customers unless they want to buy something. Upper management does not care whether or not you are structured for success. They are too naive to effectively maximize sales. Their direct competitors pay nearly double what BELL pays and the benefits are terrible. Work life balance is not a consideration. I spent between 2 and 4 hours commuting everyday and despite being able to work remotely this was not an option management would be willing to approve.
Points positifs
The occasional lunch
Points négatifs
Long hours, lowest pay in the industry and upper management out of touch with reality

Supportive managers, coworkers, and HR teams. Lots of collaborative work with different departments/teams. I had the opportunity to learn how to use and access the company's databases, sort through data, and use analytics tools to analyze the data.

Bell Let’s Talk is a Lie
Sales Associate (Ancien employé) –  Alberta3 mai 2019
Average sales job with hourly and commission, benefits are meh. All they do is move managers every 1-3 months which breeds churn among employees and zero loyalty.

Also if you happen to have health problems ever, good luck. Bell Let’s Talk is all a marketing scam, they don’t care about their employees at all.
Points positifs
It’s a job that pays you
Points négatifs
Literally everything else

Dont work for a dealer
Sales Representative (Full-time) (Ancien employé) –  Surrey, BC2 mai 2019
The owners and upper management are incredibly racist to begin with. Furthermore they encourage sketchy sales, lying to customers, and manipulation of information. They constantly lie about your benefits you will receive and your pay in order to get you to work for them. Once working there they change the commission details without notice, and often you will no longer qualify for your commission.
Points positifs

Points négatifs
bad management, racist, lies

Toxic Environment, Terrible People and Pay
Content Writer (Ancien employé) –  Mississauga1 mai 2019
Toxic, exploitative work environment.

Staff members are pressured to work sixty, seventy hour weeks for pathetic pay due to the extraordinary incompetence of the management.

Staff members are constantly verbally harassed and abused. Members of management seem to take pride in this.

Staff are hired through various front companies to reduce the department's liability.

Staff are pressured to work "optional" Saturdays for "self-development." However, it's made clear that these days are in fact mandatory. Google this- t's been in the news.

Staff remain in the office overnight on a semi-regular basis to complete projects due, again, to the extraordinary dysfunction of the department and the overwhelming incompetence of the management.

Naturally, the turnover rate is comically high. A minority of the department remain beyond the three month mark, and those who do stay for lack of alternative, adding to the total chaos.

You will learn absolutely nothing in this department, as the actual work done by junior staff is totally menial. For the "creative" department, you will spend most of your time producing content for an utterly pointless internal "exhibition." It is impossible to explain how pointless this is.

Members of staff eat terrible takeaway at around nine o'clock in the evening, several nights a week, leading to some of the most dismal scenes I've ever witnessed. It's somewhat funny but in the most depressing way imaginable. The conversation will at least allow you to hone skills of dissociation.
Points positifs
Nada
Points négatifs
Literally everything, but most of all the pathetic managers and middle managers.

Great people to work with, hard to move up
Specialist (Employé actuel) –  Toronto, ON30 avril 2019
- If you want a place that has a strong guideline, a goal and a great place to work this is a fantastic company to be with.
- Moving up is a bit more of a task as the majority of roles that open are usually made for someone in mind.
Points positifs
Good company, great benefits
Points négatifs
The scope of moving up is a bit constricted

In my point of view, working as a sales consultant at Bell is perfect as it has a good and safe environment. Also I love talking to people. I believe it is really fun.
