The people are definitely what make the job for me. I've had a team full of awesome coworkers and a team with some who wouldn't pull their slack or put very little effort in which made the job horrid. Most of the time, you're simply waiting around for customers to come in so you can sell them something. If the other person you're with for those 8 hours isn't very likable, you're going to spend a lot of time staring at your phone counting the minutes.

The corporate culture can be very draining. There is a lot of kool-aid being passed out in district wide group chats which gets annoying.

The job really comes down to both if your manager is a decent person and if you have a good team of people to work with.

This is a great job opportunity for young students but not something one should seek as a permanent career. There is maximum salary set that you can never surpass and the commission structure is frequently being changed to make sales less lucrative. The company says it likes to promote within and you can make it to head office but that is untrue for a large portion of the scenarios. Essentially Bell likes to think up new ways for workers to DO MORE while being PAID LESS.

Bell does a fairly good job or treating their employees well. After commission, most consultants make around the $40,000 range, however you can make a bit more depending on how much you sell. At the end of the day, it is a sales focused job.

A typical day at Bell Mobility consisted of me speaking with customers and finding out what their needs are and try to meet those needs with technology.

I learned to be patient with people because we do not all possess the same type of knowledge in terms of technology and to teach them.


Management was good, Sale Representatives were fairly treated and given the same opportunities.


I treated my coworkers with respect and dignity, and that is how they treated me. It was a whole new family.


The hardest part of the job came with the target. Everyone had targets in terms of how many phone activation and how many phone upgrades were completed within the month. If the targets were not met within few months, there were consequences such as going back into probation.


The most enjoyable part of the job was spending time with people to see what they need and how I, as a person could have met those needs. I enjoyed teaching clients how to use their new devices as well.

Absolutely best company I've ever worked for. Lots of great opportunities to climb up the ladder. Managers are amazing , co-workers are fantastic. Overall a great company to work for.

My typical day at work is always fun. I get to meet different kinds of people and it makes me feel great knowing how they interact differently. Some are rude customers but most of the times others are kind and respectful. I have learned that interacting with different races should be dealt with sensitivity for we all came from different cultures and upbringing. I don't want them to be offended with any rapport connections I build with them. My manager is a great leader, he always trust our instinct and decision making to whatever transactions we have in the store because he knows that every decision we make would always contribute for the success of the team. My co-workers are very helpful and cooperative. They always make sure none of us is left behind to any deliverables we need to finish before the deadline. I see to it that I look out for others performances so as for them to improve more and not only me who is on top of the list.The hardest part of the job is when we need to hit the target for the day and no customer is coming in the store even if we try our hardest to make a sale to every customer that comes in even if they are only asking for some questions about their phones or buying accessories. Nonetheless, in every hardship there is always success after it. We get to enjoy meeting a lot of people, gaining new friends as we meet new clients every day. It is always fun working everyday because I come to see my co-workers and manager 5 days in a week knowing they would always be there to help me out in any circumstance I would be in and I as well to them.

I was working most shifts alone and wasn't enough competitive wage. The location of the terrific wasn't consistent.I didn't work at the store so it was difficult to compete with other managements and store quotas.

Worked with Bell Canada for 2 years.

Great place for getting experience. NO ADVANCEMENT AT ALL!!! or takes to long for it to even happen.

Pay started at $11.25 an hour plus commission. made about $4000 a month at the Toronto Eaton Center.


Plus benefits kick in after 3 months. 90% of dental and 70% is medical.


amazing place to work out. lots of competition...

This past summer I worked as a sales representative at Bell. My work day began at 8:30am and continued until 6:00pm. Throughout the day I would help many customers with their technological needs as well as handle customer escalations and act as a liaison to resolve customer concerns. I would help customers upgrade their cellphones, or set up new lines while ensuring that they were satisfied throughout the process. This job really helped me learn how important it is to exceed customers' expectations in order to build long-lasting relationships.
The management, as well as my co-workers were all extremely motivated and thrived at providing exceptional retail experiences for the clients. All of the staff were extremely educated when it came to the latest and greatest gadgets, and were always willing to help one another.

For me, the hardest part of the job was making sure that the customer was always satisfied. Cellphone plans can be very expensive and sometimes, it was very hard to find a solution to all of the customers needs/wants.

The most enjoyable part of the job was learning all about customer service. I was able to practice my passion for technology while I put forth my excellent communication/customer service skills.

The commission and health benefits made working for Bell during university a great combination. The minimum 25 hours a week did cause some fellow employees an issue during school months.

A typical day at work would be a great meeting at the start of the day, with a lot of energy and enthusiasm. Management and colleagues are always supportive and help in every way possible. Even though the whole experience is enjoyable, but I would consider closing the sale the most amazing feeling.
