The work environment is very bad and there are unrealistic targets given to agents to achieve. The management has no focus on employee retention and satisfaction. My team was reduced from 27 members to 3 members as employees left the company due to constant and unrealistic work pressure. However, the management pushed the 3 individuals to complete the entire workload of 27 members, and also meeting deadlines. Unfortunately, it was impossible for anyone to achieve and over the last 1 year, the team has not met its performance targets.

Worked at the Source as a Bell representative. Hard to sell bell TV to customers who comes to the source wanting either phones or gadgets. Pay is low as well.

Bell is a great employer but not anymore in the West

Bell Mobility is a wonderful company with great benefits and amazing people. It is now shrinking down to bare bones out here in the Western region. There is no new hiring since the last 3+ years and no growth opportunity for existing employees.

Was great, now going down hill

Cons:

- Outsource everyone so less jobs
- Employee is just a number

Lost many people for the same reason (see above) yet upper management does not care, just hire more filipino reps

Bell's mobility practice in the west has been maturing and has seen much success. The wireless and wireline teams are still separate which ends up putting them at a disadvantage against the other carrier teams in competitive situations where bundling occurs.

my day at work consisted of inbound calls from agent with assistance with escalation or authorization levels or inbound calls from consumers that have been billed in correctly/ large invoice disputes. I have a manager to report to based on types of calls and also authorization for invoice amounts. I enjoy thinking on the spot to resolve issues however the hard part was telling clients that nothing can be based on the charges. The work atmosphere is great really enjoyed the team i work with and assisting them to success as i have been in the top 10% for over 3 years.

A typical day at work is checking emails, attending to cases in Salesforce, taking phone calls. I've learned a lot about account management, client care and sales in this role. My manager is very supportive and clear about our targets and guidelines. The workplace culture is great, we often have team/call center events and contests to promote team camaraderie. The hardest part about my job is dealing with difficult contacts/clients and having a lot of administrative work to do, but not enough challenging and rewarding cases. The most enjoyable part of my job is working with a great team and feeling successful when treating a difficult case and coming up with a solution that will save the client money and promote their business with Bell.

A terrible place to work

Bell Mobility inside sales team is a very bad place to work based on my experience. The culture is very subjective, judgemental and unfriendly. The managers have been there forever and never change and the sales staff turnover is very very high.

The setup for success just isn't there for an inside sales staff. The training is so irrelevant to the market and reality and you are nothing more than just a number in case you wish to challenge things or address them to your manager.

The managers are very sneaky and manipulate people to do their dirty work so they can confuse you and stay on the safe side. This is how they deal with people.

One time we had a manager evaluation for senior management. The manager and prior to this event called for a sales meeting and while in it gets one of his trusted staff to tell the team about the upcoming evaluation and that we must all put a very favorable rating for the manager in a very subtle manner. Later on and when on your desk, the manager would threaten people whom he suspects could express their opinions saying "he will find out who wrote things up in case they choose to" . So much for freedom of speech or a confidential evaluation process. The managers are not equipped to deal with feedback just hostile action is the norm.

The company has invested in CRM technology- salesforce- but the managers internally drive the staff away from using it for anything more than just for customer details. This is because they don't know how to use Salesforce as a CRM model and secondly, It feels as if there is a struggle between senior

A nice call centre

Aside from working at a great call centre there was a huge push on upselling. I had no issues exceeding targets however there was much employee turnaround because of this.
