This company and culture are a pleasure to work in. Upper mgt is highly supportive and frontline staff are highly engaged. If you have the opportunity to work here, do it.

A dynamic and holistic approach to the entire workplace. You never feel stressed. They are flexible and having understanding. They pay minimum for PSW but I still been working with them since 2019 just because I like the job.

Training is only in office and scenario based. , no on the job training for actual home care work. You get your client list 15 minutes before your shift start some times. If clients cancel you will loose hours. You are expected to see 20 -25 people in a 8 hour shift with no breaks. If 4 people cancel, that’s an hour of your pay lost. you have to drive around and aren’t reimbursed for gas. I worked there for 3 months and had 4 managers come and go. They can’t keep staff or managers. Do not waste your time working here.

Pay rate is less than horrible, although usual scheduling is only 1-2 hours per client and the next client can be over 30 mins away. They dont pay attention to travel times in between these clients so they will schedule you next client directly afterwards leaving you having to call and correct things. Mileage compensation is a joke.

Management does not follow up on anything. Full time office staff will bully you into working more hours and outside your availability. .... if you don't they will start rebooking your clients. If you are injured, they expect you to still go to work and follow someone around all day or will keep putting clients in your schedule that do not meet your restrictions. Most of the evening office staff are polite and hepful. The ones that work during g the day ignore your calls for 8 hours straight.
Policies are outdated and the hourly and travel pay are terrible.

Don't work here - work anywhere else.

Still using hand written charting in a facility. No emar system in place causes potential errors to occur. Not a Bayshore manager on site in Hospice setting. Lack of team work and bullying without repercussions. Shorting hours and not paying what was entitled to many of the staff there.

The job it self caring for clients is AMAZING, however management is horrible. They do not get back to you or your clients. Zero communication. Hours are favoritism and scattered. They allow workers to call in sick all the time with zero repercussions and leave vulnerable clients short care.

I find bayshore to be a great place to work if you can get the hours. As long as they know you are will to work they will give you the hours but if you don’t communicate your will ness to work hard you will only get your regular shift

It was a good experience. I worked a split shift which i wouldnt recommend unless it works with your life style, i was told to accept it if i wanted more hours, which was partially true but only for 3 of my 5 days available, it was good except when u had to wait around for a job, felt like you couldn't do much incase u got a job. The other 3 days most of my days were pre-booked. Otherwise great company to work for

It is a difficult but satisfying work. Management welcome to work with. Hardest part is when being assigned to faraway places, and there is a long time gap in between clients.

This company is by far the worst in terms of management and morale. Shifts are scheduled at your coordinators convenience not yours. Not sure why they ask for your availability. Office workers guilt and bully you into working 24/7 and there are constant turnovers both in the field and office.

Great place to work. I worked at the Terrace Nursing Home in Carleton Place while going to college for a PSW. This was my placement co-op. It ran very efficiently with care always going to the clients. The best part of the job was meeting new people and getting to know them a little. The hardest part was leaving my new friends.

Can be a difficult place to work. Some staff and employees are very pleasant, and some are very difficult to work with. Community can provide very strong skills.

I really love my job at Bayshore especially working at the hospice locations..... meet lots of lovely community clients too.... management is approachable and good to talk to ....

Enjoyable job because of clients. Work schedule makes it hard to have work/life balance. Hard to schedule personal appointments. Always short staffed.

Bayshore was a great place to work before they put "money before the clients care"
They dont take care of their senior psw that have worked for them along time. they don't ensure that you have enough hours of work and they dont care. you have to beg for hours like a dog. the coordinatior change so often that they don't know you and don't have time to know you.

in the past the coordinators would call you with a match for you and the client. now take whatever and make the money because that is what is important now the money not the care.

There are many hours available to work if you are interested. Overall a good place to work. If there are any problems office staff work with you to fix them.
