Bayshore is all about gaining money at the expense of proper patient care. Nurses would call into the office crying about the working conditions. Patient safety is not a concern for Bayshore. Family members have stated that the facilities they have are so poorly run (filthy and understaffed) that they were going to contact the media. Keep your family away from this agency if you can.

If you are sick and have Dr. Notes the managment made you feel as if you were in the wrong for following Dr orders. Always short staff and never appreciated for the work done. The environment was very hostile, not a team environment.

very toxic environment - management motto "do as i say not as i do" . Supervisor was very controlling - everything from temperature in the office, everybody froze because she was warm, to what we could eat because of her sensitive nose. She offered very little support to the team and would often pit team members against one another.

I can not believe the fact that our beautiful gems can reach the wonder years in life only to put their trust and faith in the hands of jokers like the management staff in the Hamilton mountain branch. They are so worried about themselves that all of the psw and nursing clients are so frustrated it is not funny. Very high turnover so that these misfits can keep their positions. Management is terrible, even with adequate training considering the director was in “meetings” literally all day. Especially on Fridays when she wouldn’t even come into the office.

Never could give straight answers.


No one followed policies and procedures.


No one followed up with client concerns, families were extremely angry when they were promised a call back and no one phoned them.


Extremely UNDER STAFFED, yet the staff they have is expected to bend over backwards for the company


The director, the management, Human Resources, and the “team lead” - don’t care about anything or anyone except getting that next pay cheque. It’s disgusting.

Warm and friendly environment. Overall job duties are more demanding then job entitles.

Bayshore Calgary seemed like an amazing place , I love my job and found out they were dishonest about a privacy concern. I can only hope they can get it straight

Overall job was good. Fast paced, I learned a lot while working here. Office environment is dependent on who is the manager. Generally the people were very nice and helpful, but the job did get very stressful and at times felt like there was no one to help and as though if you were stressed than it was "your own problem"

Bayshore is a high stress environment, you have lives in your hands and management often only see's dollars instead of humans. The turnover is insane, like a revolving door.

I worked for this company for a number of years. I loved working there but the job is not secure. They often(I saw this happen a number of times) "restructure" after employees have been there for a certain amount of time and then rehire for a lower wage.

Working for Bayshore at the beginning was great, but once management changed it was terrible. They wouldn't pay equally to other companies, wouldn't increase wages based on experience, and did not pay fairly whatsoever. They used flat rates for after hours that did not match the number of hours worked. It was lots of work for no pay. I do not recommend this company.

As a current employee of this company I can one hundred percent say if you have other opportunities for employment... take them. There is a total lack of management (we had no Area Director for over 6 months). They play favourites, hire unprofessional individuals and they turn a blind eye to the staff who do not do their jobs, and penalize those who do. It is the most toxic work environment I've ever been in.

Scheduling unfilled visit on a regular basis,
Save paperwork, attend to emails from clients, staff & other departments.

It can get very stressful to fill shifts with difficult clients, especially when several staff refuse to see client.

Shortage of field employees.

Management will do what best for the branch not the employees

Can get very stressfull

Decent Office job, handling client and field staff schedules and hours. Dealing with Inquires that come in, Answering many calls and emails during the day. Depending on your personality, it is a good work environment.

A great team to work that are always willing to help. The hardest part of the job was to tell clients we didn't have any available staff and had to go without a visit. Also receiving phone call concerning clt passing away.

Started out as a great place to work casually on call. Once full time - no training was provided. Simply thrown into the job expected to perform successfully. Area director caves under pressure and takes her stress out on CSCs.

Working at Bayshore created a home away from home. Everyone is so caring and gives you a family atmosphere. It is a fast paced work environment that I thoroughly enjoyed. I would recommend Bayshore to anyway who is looking for a health related employment opportunity.
