The operators that choose where you are going for work tend to schedule clients back to back that are a bit far away from one another, this make it hard to get to clients on time as well as is costly on gas.

It started out as a good company to work for but recently they hired some new mangers that have a different work ethic that doesn’t reflect treating their employees fairly. Nepotism is rampant in the company hiring friends of friends, never a good idea. They hire unqualified people that have no psw certificates and come to work and don’t work effectively with other staff. They also hire way to young and immature individuals that bring a lot of trouble into the work environment. The managers play favorites with certain staff, usually the ones that don’t want to work ? and the ones that work hard are treated poorly. I would not recommend working at their TCU units and wasting your time when in most cases the good workers just become frustrated and leave because the issues are never properly dealt with. Some of the new managers and HR Manager are more Focused on new hires and drop the ball or don’t care about ongoing issues that effect the whole unit. If all the friendly and compassionate workers leave what are you left with ? The managers will target certain workers that complain, these workers rightly want to work in an ethical fair and transparent manner ? It’s not an employer that I would think you would want to stay employed with. This organization will not have your back when you need them to, they use to but because of a few individuals in management their ruining the work ethicS for all.

Working at Bayshore is and amazing job, unfortunately most of the positions are labeled casual and although you can pick up hours it makes it difficult to move forward in your nursing career when there is no commitment from the company

I love the fact that I am able to choose my own hours to suit my life schedule. Also that I can go to peoples own homes to provide their care so they can stay at home for longer

One of the most stressful environments that I have worked in. They did not provide consistent working hours for me. There was no educational support, as well my scheduled hours were always shortened. They did not have consistent support for patients, clients on a daily basis.

when I was interviewed I was told there was lots of hours and I can get at least 15 hours a week which is what I was looking for as I had another part time job as a PSW. Once I started working I was getting 3 hours a week sometimes biweekly when I called to ask about the hours they told me there was no guarantee of hours plus they were paying me just above minimum wage I also did not have a car yet at the time and had to spend over an hour taking transit to clients only for them to tell me that they did not need anything that day. Zero communication between management and clients

the clients are wonderful the job is great if you love what you do as a healthcare worker. but the stuff behind the scenes isn't so nice. the managers dont care much and the interview process was easy.

Nice managers but not great pay for an experienced RN. Supportive environment. Too many chiefs it felt at times. Lots of hours if you want them. Needed better orientation of in home visits

Learn something new everyday. My work day is always something new that could happen. I interact with the clients, perform the task at hand, problem solve, and its an enjoyable job.
We do all of our supply orders on the computers , sent in reports to the LIHN, keep in contact with the office.

Having a work/home life balance is important to me. With this company, you have the opportunity to create a schedule that works for you. Plenty of learning/continuous educational opportunities; allowing you to develop professionally and room to grow within the organization. After working in long term care for 15 years and in acute care for 7 years; this by far is the best move I’ve made.

You will learn so many skills in home care. Independent work in the field , great team atmosphere in the office and among the teams. Would recommend Bayshore !!!

Love to travel , thought working in the community would be difficult but it was not. Love to work with clients on a one to one experience and also was able to take time with them.
Management at Bayshore is always helpful. Always accommodating to circumstances.

Sounded like a great job on hire with the somewhat fair wage Make yourself available for 6-8 hr days Lucky to get 4 clients scheduled.= 4 hrs pay Even tho available for those 8 hrs NO compensation for on call. Travel allowance poor Working rural areas and in winter weather takes 15+ mins between visits but will only pay you 15 mins travel = $3.69
Change your schedule and don’t notify , schedulers notorious for sched visits with no travel between Can never budget what your pay would be. Tell you that you have to be available every other weekend then get 3 clients for whole weekend. Take away you scheduled clients on holidays to avoid paying premium.

I very much enjoyed this job & the clients. I was able to experience a lot of different health conditions & diseases, learning along the way; I went from mentally & developmentally challenged schoolchildren with multiple problems & tube feeding & seizure disorders to sitting with a dying client & helping anyway I could.

The only difficulty I had with this job is waiting around for their call & in the last few months, I was only offered clients out of town, which included travel over an hour plus the night {overnight} shifts were being the only offers I was getting .


I would much rather have a job where I can certainly carry out nursing related duties & office duties & have a schedule that is planned, although I am totally willing to be flexible on my hours & days.

I worked as a CSC co-ordinator for 14 months on a very high stress desk and even was recognized for my hard work. New director and manager were hired and have treated people like pheasants. They put on the persona that they want to create a team environment and have an open door policy when that is not the reality. I was fired on the spot with no cause or reason. and have never once been written up ..and that is after working and picking up hours when they could not be filled and after dedicating myself to my job and the clients (( I loved the job itself and the clients). The support staff of management were great..it is too bad that whoever saw fit to hire a director who is more about how great they appear rather than the needs of the company

The job itself is fantastic, the way it's organized needs some improvement. Management needs to be aware of what happens more and take less vacation time.
